The Gospel

God sent his Son Jesus Christ to become a human being, live a sinless life and he suffered and died for our sins (Mark 10:45). He paid the debt for our sin so God could forgive us on the basis of his death on the cross. After his death he rose from the dead and that’s is the hope for Christians. That when we die we believe we will live forever with Christ.

We’ve all sinned (rebelled) against God. Whether we’ve lied, cheated, stolen, lusted in our hearts and rejected God by doing what we know to be wrong. God should punish us because God is just (2 Thessalonians 1:6). Because of his justice and love (1 John 4:8, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, John 3:16) he sent his son to pay for all sin (1 John 2:2).

If we believe this good news, repent (change our minds resulting in a change of action) of our sins we can be forgiven. This means that we choose to turn to God from our sin that we have. Then we place our trust alone in Jesus as our saviour (Acts 4:10-12, Acts 16:30-31). God can wash away all our sins and give us eternal life so when we die we will live with God forever. God not only saves us, but also our reasoning and truth. Then we can know him and live a life to the full as Jesus said.
