Sweet & Spicy Asian Hot Wings

Sweet & Spicy Asian Hot Wings:
*Prep Time:  1 hr.  *Cook Time:  30 min.  *Servings:  14-24 Wings

  • 2-3 lb. Frozen Chicken Wings, THAWED
  • 1/4 c. Plumb Fruit Spread
  • 1/4 c. Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 c. Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/4 c. Honey
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 2 tbsp. Sriracha Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 3 scallions sliced
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Cilantro
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the plumb fruit spread, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, sriracha sauce, sesame oil, water, garlic powder, and the whites of the sliced scallions.  
  2. Whisk until smooth.  Taste for seasoning.  Add any salt and pepper you feel it may need.  
  3. Place the THAWED chicken wings into a resealable bag and pour the marinade over the chicken wings, making sure to reserve some for basting.
  4. Seal the bag and massage the sings until they are all coated with the marinade.
  5. Place in the refrigerator for 1-3 hours.  
  6. When ready to cook.  Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  7. Remove the marinated wings from the resealable bag, and place them on a foil lined baking sheet that has been lightly sprayed with cooking spray.  
  8. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, basting with the reserve marinates about every 5-10 minutes.
  9. After 30 minutes place under the broiler to crisp and char the skin, about 2-3 minutes.
  10. Top with a little sesame seed, cilantro, and the greens of your scallions.
  11. Serve and Enjoy!
