Crock-Pot Peppers and Steak Recipe

Crock-Pot Peppers and Steak Recipe:

Ingredients:

Marinade for the Meat:

  • 1/3 c Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
Rest of Ingredients:
  • 2 lb Top Round Steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 Onion, halved and sliced
  • 3 Bell Peppers, julienned
  • 1 28 oz. can of Diced Tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 c Water
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 3 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste
Directions:
  1. Trim the fat from the steak and thinly slice.*
  2. Place the steak in a resealable bag and add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cornstarch.
  3. Seal the bag and shake until all the meat is coated.  
  4. Open the bag and pour in the soy sauce.  Seal the bag and let steak marinate for 30 minutes to overnight. 
  5. In the crock-pot add the bell peppers and onions, the can of tomatoes, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, water, garlic powder, and ground ginger.  
  6. Make a slurry by mixing together the rice wine vinegar and cornstarch.  Pour into the crock-pot.  
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or HIGH for 4-8 hours.  
  8. Taste for seasoning.
  9. Serve over rice and top with green onions and sesame seeds.
