Turkey Crescent Bites

  • 2 tubes crescent rolls
  • 1 c. chopped celery (about 2 stalks)
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion (about 1 small onion)
  • 2 T. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 1/2 c. chopped cooked turkey
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. ground sage
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. chopped dried cranberries
  1. Heat olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Add chopped celery and onion; saute until tender, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add chopped turkey, salt, pepper, sage, and garlic powder, stirring to combine. Reduce heat to low and blend in cream cheese until the cream cheese is melted. Remove from heat and stir in chopped cranberries.
  2. Unroll one package of crescent rolls and place on a baking sheet. With your fingers, gently press the seams together to seal them. Spread the turkey mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border along the edges.
  3. Unroll the remaining package of crescent rolls and place on top of the turkey mixture. Press the edges together to seal. Gently press the seams together.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until crescent roll dough is golden brown.
  5. Cut into small squares and serve. (A pizza cutter makes really quick and easy work of the cutting.)
