Creamy Bacon Guacamole Dip

  • 2 avocados, pitted & peeled
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 3 T. fresh lime juice {approximately 1 and 1/2 limes}
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 8 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 2 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled

  1. Place avocado and lime juice in a mixing bowl; mash with a fork {getting the avocado coated with lime juice helps the avocado retain its green color instead of turning brown}. Add sour cream, salt, pepper, and Tabasco; stir until well combined. Stir in crumbled bacon, reserving a few bacon crumbles to garnish the top.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  3. Sprinkle reserved bacon crumbles on top just before serving. Serve with tortilla chips, assorted veggies, or pita chips for dipping.

Note ~ For a smoother-textured dip, process all ingredients {except bacon} in a food processor then stir in crumbled bacon.
