Crafty Engineering Group (a.k.a., the KEGers)

Do you enjoy learning new things?  Do going to groups that only do presentations leave you wanting for more?  Do you wish there were more groups that provided hands on experience?  Are your Wednesday nights free?  Well, this just might be the group you are looking for!

Following the lead of such groups as Code Retreats and the Craftsmanship Guild, a new group has started up in Farmington Hills – the Crafty Engineering Group (or the Krafty Engineering Group so that we can have a cool nickname like KEGer).

When:      6:15 - 8:00 PM every other Wednesday beginning June 29, 2011.
Where:     The Farmington Community Library – Main Branch
               32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Conference Room A
               Farmington Hills, MI  48334-3302
                        (248) 553-0300

  • 6:15 PM – 6:20 PM:  Introductory Pizza – We’ll introduce ourselves over pizza, and we’ll also be introduced to the problem for the night.
  • 6:15 PM – 6:20 PM:  Tribal Council – We’ll vote on the format for the night.
  • 6:20 PM – 7:45 PM:  Coding, Coding and more Coding – Yeah!
  • 7:45 PM – 7:55 PM:  Retrospective – We’ll discuss how things went, and what we would like to do/cover in two weeks
  • 8:00 PM - ???          :  We'll see if anyone is interested in going out

The plan is to complete most problems in a randori style.  No laptops are required.
