Austin Low - Technical Director

Austin Low is a Scottish Creative Artist from Aberdeen. At 25 he has written, directed, performed and produced shows for both stage and screen. He won two BAFTA's for his writing and performing roles in the BBC sketch show Hedz and was nominated for several others as the co-creator of cult CBBC stop motion sketch show OOglies. At Edinburgh he was part of the controversial trilogy of invasive plays 'Che Guevara on the Fringe' alongside Australian talent, Kieran Butler.

"The play and indeed Crowley himself have a strange charm", Austin explained of the project, "John has created a beautifully unique insight into this fascinating fellow and it's exciting to be invited to help bring that to life."

He went on to describe the sounds-capes he has designed for the show, "When I edit something down, I turn out the lights, turn up the volume and play it back. If the hairs on my body all stand on end and I begin to freak out slightly I know it's working!"

This is his 6th visit to the Edinburgh Fringe and his 1st as a Technical Director.
