Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal

1 serving


1 cup water

1/2 cup quick cooking oatmeal

Pinch of kosher salt

1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons packed light brown sugar

1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup


In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.  Stir in the oatmeal and cook for 1 minute over medium heat or until thickened.  Remove from the heat, cover, and rest for 2 minutes.  Stir in brown sugar and maple syrup to taste.  Enjoy!
