Facilities

The Reception Room

Bring a warm cup of tea through to the newly designed Fernery reception room, a quiet spot perfect for window-gazing, flipping through a local paper or planning the next day's walk on Exmoor! Fire lit on request in the evenings.

The Breakfast Room

The freshly decorated Fernery Breakfast Room is the heart of activity at the Fernery. A long table and cushioned chairs provide comfy seating for diners, who can help themselves to tea, coffee, cereals, etc. while they wait for their chosen breakfast! (Click here for menu.)

The Garden

On a sunny day, there is nowhere like the lushly planted garden of the Fernery, fragranced with fresh lavender and brightened by buddleia , honeysuckle and ferns. If the weather's right, why not take your breakfast outside? (Outdoor seating on a first-come, first-served basis.)

Wireless Internet

We are pleased to offer free wireless internet in every room. Ask for the password on arrival.

Accessibility

The Fernery is a three-storey Victorian house with a flight of steps to the front door and staircases leading to the bedrooms. Unfortunately, this makes it very difficult for those with mobility problems to access the property and its accommodation.

For the safety of people who are hearing impaired, we have a Bedside Fire Alarm Monitor that is electronically linked into the main Fire Alarm System.
