How to Perform Miracles THROUGH the SPIRIT OF CHRIST dwelling IN YOUThere is far more to this intimacy between Jesus and His Bride (144k) than has heretofore been suspected.

"The work (John 6:29/1 John 3:9) which the church has failed to do in a time of peace and prosperity, she will have to do in a terrible crisis, under most discouraging, forbidding, circumstances. The warnings that worldly conformity has silenced or withheld, must be given under the fiercest opposition from enemies of the faith. And at that time the superficial, conservative class, whose influence has steadily retarded the progress of the work, will renounce the faith, and take their stand with its avowed enemies, toward whom their sympathies have long been tending. These apostates will then manifest the most bitter enmity, doing all in their power to oppress and malign their former brethren, and to excite indignation against them. This day is just before us. The members of the church will individually be tested and proved. They will be placed in circumstances where they will be forced to bear witness for the truth. Many will be called to speak before councils and in courts of justice, perhaps separately and alone. The experience which would have helped them in this emergency they have neglected to obtain, and their souls are burdened with remorse for wasted opportunities and neglected privileges"—Testimonies for the Church 5:463.

"As those who have spent their lives in the service of God draw near the close of their earthly history, they will be impressed by the Holy Spirit to recount the experiences they have had in connection with His work. The record of His wonderful dealings with His people, of His great goodness in delivering them from trial, should be repeated to those newly come to the faith. The trials also that have been brought on the servants of God by the apostasy of some once united with them in labor, and the working of the Holy Spirit to make of none effect the falsehoods told against those who were holding the beginning of their confidence firm unto the end, should be related" Testimonies for the Church, vol. 7, p. 288.2 (Ellen G. White).

Christ FILLS/consummates the MARRIAGE between Himself and the 144,000 by filling them with Himself, truth, the 3rd Angel's Message found in Rev 14:9-12. His truth, IS the 3rd Angel's Message for today! Those (from 1844 until probation closes for the world) who live and give the 3 Angel's Messages the most cheerfully and the most diligently, with reverent zeal are chosen by God Himself as a wife for His Son for eternity. These 144,000 fall all over themselves to see who can be the most like Christ in helping others by showing them what it is like to be in Christ and have Christ's Spirit IN them!

"Those (144,000) who have had moral courage enough to stand out free from the Laodicean church, and keep the commandments of God, have been so unrighteously denounced as heretics and fanatics (144,000), that many honest souls are afraid of the true servants of the Lord, who are proclaiming the THIRD ANGEL'S MESSAGE" The Advent Review No. 1-5, 1850.

"Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ’s church, for the PRESENCE of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can ALONE constitute a church” Upward Look, 315.

“Those who seek to remove the old landmarks (3 Angel's Messages Rev 14:6-12) are not holding fast; they are not remembering how they have received and heard. Those who try to bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary or concerning the personality of God or of Christ, are working as blind men. They are seeking to bring in uncertainties and to set the people of God adrift without an anchor" MR760 9.5.

The law is indeed our anchor, the Spirit of Jesus is the law written to our fleshy hearts and is the wind in our sails to enable us to obey it.

The Outpouring of the Spirit

"During the Jewish economy, the influence of God's Spirit had been seen in a marked manner, but not in full. For ages prayers had been offered for the fulfilment of God's promise to impart His Spirit, and not one of these earnest supplications had been forgotten.

1990 Herbert Ford, news director for the denomination, told the Indianapolis Star that Adventists who want to cling to the church’s historic anti-Catholic beliefs represent only about 1,000 of the church’s 750,000 North American members. ARKANSAS CATHOLIC, July 29, 1990 (Page 8) (emphasis supplied).

    "It will be urged that the few who stand in opposition to an institution of the church and a law of the state, ought not to be tolerated; that it is better for them to suffer than for whole nations to be thrown into confusion and lawlessness. The same argument eighteen hundred years ago was brought against Christ by the "rulers of the people." . . . This argument will appear conclusive.--GC 615 (1911).  {LDE 257.1}

Christ determined that when He ascended from this earth He would bestow a gift on those who had believed on Him and those who should believe on Him. What gift could He bestow rich enough to signalize and grace His ascension to the mediatorial throne? It must be worthy of His greatness and His royalty. He determined to give His representative, the third person (See
"Illeism" by clicking here) of the Godhead. This gift could not be excelled. He would give all gifts in one, and therefore the divine Spirit, converting, enlightening, sanctifying, would be His donation.

Standing near His trial, condemnation, and crucifixion, Christ said: “I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.” “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” “I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth, whom the world can not receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him; but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

This is a wonderful announcement. Christ longed to be in a position where He could accomplish the most important work by few and simple means. The plan of redemption is comprehensive; but its parts are few, and each part depends on the other, while all work together with the utmost simplicity and in entire harmony. Christ is represented by the Holy Spirit
[WE WANT THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHICH IS JESUS CHRISTLt 66, 1894 (April 10, 1894) par. 18 - EGW] and when this Spirit is appreciated, when those controlled by the Spirit communicate to others the energy with which they are imbued, an invisible chord is touched which electrifies the whole. Would that we could all understand how boundless are the divine resources!

But the time had now come. The Spirit had been waiting for the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Christ. For ten days the disciples offered their petitions for the outpouring of the Spirit, and Christ in heaven added His intercession. This was the occasion of His ascension and inauguration, a jubilee in heaven. He had ascended on high, leading captivity captive, and He now claimed the gift of the Spirit, that He might pour it out upon His disciples.

The Spirit was given as Christ had promised, and like a rushing mighty wind it fell upon those assembled, filling the whole house. It came with a fulness and power, as if for ages it had been restrained, but was now being poured forth upon the church, to be communicated to the world.

What followed this outpouring?—Thousands were converted in a day. In Christ's day many heard the Gospel, but they did not become sufficiently interested to search for the pearl of great price. But on the day of Pentecost three thousand were converted by the preaching of the Gospel. A wonderful communication was made that day between heaven and earth. Those who witnessed this scene had recently witnessed in the same city the crucifixion of the world's Redeemer. But how little those who beheld Him hanging on the cross understood what His death meant! How few realized that “God so loved the world, that He gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life!”

On the day of Pentecost, Christ's witnesses proclaimed the truth, telling men the wonderful news of salvation through Christ. And as a flaming two-edged sword the truth flashed conviction into human hearts. Men were brought under Christ's control. The glad tidings were carried to the uttermost bounds of the inhabited world. The church beheld converts flocking to her from all directions. The altar of the cross, which sanctifies the gift (the Holy Spirit of Christ in YOU), was rebuilt. (deny self, take up your cross daily) Believers were reconverted. Sinners united with Christians in seeking the pearl of great price. The prophecy was fulfilled, the weak “shall be as David,” and David “as the angel of the Lord.” Every Christian saw in his brother the divine similitude of benevolence and love. One interest prevailed. One object swallowed up all others. Every pulse beat in healthy concert. The only ambition of the believers was to see who could reveal most perfectly the likeness of Christ's character, who could do the most for the enlargement of His kingdom. “The multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul.” The Spirit of Christ animated the whole congregation; for they had found the pearl of great price" The Signs of the Times December 1, 1898 paragraph 2 (Ellen G. White).

"Pentecost brought them the heavenly illumination. The truths they could not understand while Christ was with them were now unfolded. With a faith and assurance that they had never before known, they accepted the teachings of the Sacred Word. No longer was it a matter of faith with them that Christ was the Son of God. They knew that, although clothed with humanity, He was indeed the Messiah, and they told their experience to the world with a confidence which carried with it the conviction that God was with themThe Acts of the Apostles, p. 45.3.

"Christ is the great miracle worker. To Him be all the glory"—Letter 410, 1907.

"God's people will not find their safety in working miracles, for Satan would counterfeit any miracle that might be worked. God's tried and tested people will find their power in the sign spoken of in Exodus 31:12-18. They are to take their stand on the living Word—“It is written.” This is the only foundation upon which they can stand securely. Those who have broken their covenant with God will in that day be without hope and without God in the world.

The worshipers of God will be especially distinguished by their regard for the fourth commandment—since this is the sign of His creative power and the witness to His claim upon man's reverence and homage. The wicked will be distinguished by their efforts to tear down the Creator's memorial, to exalt the institution of Rome (Sunday Sacredness). In the issue of the contest all Christendom will be divided into two great classes—those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, and those who worship the beast and his image and receive his mark. Although church and state will unite their power to compel “all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond” (Revelation 13:16), to receive the mark of the beast, yet the people of God will not receive it. The prophet of Patmos beholds “them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God” (Revelation 15:2) and singing the song of Moses and the Lamb" 2SM55.

"Fearful tests and trials await the people of God. The spirit of war is stirring the nations from one end of the earth to the other. But in the midst of the time of trouble that is coming—a time of trouble such as has not been since there was a nation—God's chosen people will stand unmoved. Satan and his angels cannot destroy them, for angels that excel in strength will protect them"—Letter 119, 1904.

#1 Come to Christ just as you are: sinful and trembling, in need of a Saviour, not trusting in yourself or another human being or a 501c3 church denomination, but in Christ alone. Accept Christ as your peace. Invite Him into your soul chamber, your body, your mind and your heart which is your desires. Your daily choices restrained by the Spirit of Jesus living in you constraining your thoughts, words and actions according to the Ten Commandments.

#2 Daily pray and study the PROMISES of GOD found in a KJV Bible and the original writings of the pioneers of the Seventh day Adventist movement. The Spirit of Prophecy is the details of the Bible. Please read or listen to Patriarch's and Prophets and The Great ControversyFew people today realize that evil all around us is the visible evidence of a great war that has raged in the universe for thousands of years now. Patriarchs and Prophets is one of the only books available anywhere that can reveal with accuracy and authority just how and why this great war began and who is behind it. You need to understand history so you can understand/fortele the future. You need to understand the great battle that is being fought right now for your body, your body made of dust. For your own soul and the souls of those you influence.

Surrender your body to the Spirit of Christ ALONE. Do not surrender or pray to a god that teaches you someone other than Christ inhabits your body by it's Spirit. It is the Spirit of the Son of God, the Seed of God (1 John 3:9, Luke 8:11), the Word of God that you want to inhabit your body made of dust.

"All who are truly converted unto the proclamation of the third angel's message must not present to the world, to angels, and to men, division in the place of unity. "To live for self is to perish. Covetousness, the desire of benefit for self’s sake, cuts the soul off from life. It is the spirit of Satan to get, to draw to self. It is the spirit of Christ to give, to sacrifice self for the good of others" {OHC 287.3}.

I prayed that we might be baptized into Christ's sufferings, that we might not shrink at trials, but bear them with patience and joy, knowing what Jesus had suffered that we through His poverty and sufferings might be made rich. Said the angel, "Deny self; ye must step fast" Early Writings, p. 67.2 (Ellen G. White).

How would you like to have the cobwebs cleared out of your mind so you could "believe" (John 6:29/John 3:16-17) and perform the same miracles and even greater works than Jesus and His apostles did?

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater worksthan these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" John 14:12.

First thing you must do is to eat a high alkaline diet that defogs your mind so you can think and act clearly. Becoming a Vegan the #1 or first order of business to become an ambassador (medium/channel for Christ's Spirit, the only Seed of God living in you making you holy/perfect/in constant agreement with God in order to perform miracles to the glory of God alone) for the living God of Heaven. Deny your appetites of these things that are doing you injury. Serve the Lord by sacrifice. Who among our brethren will Sign a Pledge to dispense with Flesh Meats, tea, coffee, and all injurious foods and  become health reformers in the truest sense of the term?

Here's the Pledge you must make if you want to be able to perform miracles and become one of the 144,000, sin-free, able to stand before a Holy God without a Mediator like Adam before He sinned - we must eat like Adam before He sinned:

The 144,000 Miracle Worker's Vegan Pledge

SIGNED_____________________________ DATE: _____________

I Ask you at this Time, will you not  Circulate Such a Pledge? The means saved by such a sacrifice if  used for the furtherance of the cause of God would be blessed to the salvation  of many souls. Let the children have a part in this work. We are all members of the Lord's  family; and the Lord would have his children, both young and old, pledge  themselves to deny appetite and to save the means needed for building meeting  houses, and the support of missionaries. I am instructed to say to parents,  place yourselves, soul and spirit on the Lord's side of this question. We need  to ever bear in mind that in these days of probation we are on trial before the  Lord of the universe. Will you not  give up indulgences that are doing you such injury? Words of profession are  cheap; let your acts of self-denial testify that you will be obedient to the  demands that God makes of his peculiar people. Then put into the  treasury a portion of the means that you save by your acts of your self-denial  and there will be that which is to carry on the work of God. {PH128  1.2}

"The way in which Christ worked was to preach the Word, and to relieve suffering by miraculous works of healing. But I am instructed that we cannot now work in this way, for Satan will exercise his power by working miracles. God's servants today could not work by means of miracles, because spurious works of healing, claiming to be divine, will be wrought. For this reason the Lord has marked out a way in which His people are to carry forward a work of physical healing, combined with the teaching of the Word. Sanitariums are to be established, and with these institutions are to be connected workers who will carry forward genuine medical missionary work. Thus a guarding influence is thrown around those who come to the sanitariums for treatment. This is the provision the Lord has made whereby gospel medical missionary work is to be done for many souls.—Letter 53, 1904.

“The history of the early experiences in the (3 Angel's Messages Rev 14:6-12) message will be a power to withstand the masterly ingenuity of Satan's deceptions” EGW, Letter 99, 1905.

"We are too narrow in our ideas, we are poor judges, for many of these will be accepted of God because they cherish every ray of light that shone upon them"—Manuscript 6, 1889.

Those who come up to every point, and stand every test, and overcome, be the price what it may, have heeded the counsel of the True Witness, and they will receive the latter rain (perfecting testing messages = 3 Angel's "Anti-Pope Doctrines adopted from Nimrod, Tammuz and Semiramis" Messages), and thus be fitted for translation.

"Cooking may be regarded as less desirable than some other lines of work, but in reality it is a science in value above all other sciences. Thus God regards the preparation of healthful food. He places a high estimate on those who do faithful service in preparing wholesome, palatable food. The one who understands the art of properly preparing food, and who uses this knowledgeis worthy of higher commendation than those engaged in any other line of workThis talent should be regarded as equal in value to ten talents; for its right use has much to do with keeping the human organism in health. Because so inseparably connected with life and health, it is the most valuable of all gifts.” Counsels on Diet and Foods, 251.

"It [sanctification] is not merely a theory, an emotion, or a form of words, but a living, active principle, entering into the everyday life. It requires that our habits of eating, drinking, and dressing, be such as to secure the preservation of physical, mental, and moral health, that we may present to the Lord our bodies—not an offering corrupted by wrong habits, but—`a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God.' "—Temperance, p. 19.

"All are required to do what they can to preserve healthy bodies and sound minds. If they will gratify a gross appetite, and by so doing blunt their sensibilities, and becloud their perceptive faculties so that they cannot appreciate the exalted character of God, or delight in the study of His word, they may be assured that God will not accept their unworthy offering any sooner than that of Cain. God requires them to cleanse themselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord. After man has done all in his power to ensure health, by the denying of appetite and gross passions, that he may possess a healthy mind, and a sanctified imagination, that he may render to God an offering in righteousness, then he is saved alone by a miracle of God's mercy, as was the ark upon the stormy billows. Noah had done all that God required of him in making the ark secure; then God performed that which man could not do, and preserved the ark by His miraculous power."—Ibid., pp. 49, 50.

"A clogged stomach means a clogged brain. The most precious words may be heard and not appreciated, because the mind is confused by an improper diet. By overeating on the Sabbath, many do more than they think, to unfit themselves for receiving the benefit of its sacred opportunities."—Ibid., p. 46.

"Upon the Sabbath, in the house of God, gluttons will sit and sleep under the burning truths of God's word. They can neither keep their eyes open, nor comprehend the solemn discourses given"—Testimonies, vol. 2, P. 374.

"Intemperance in eating, even of food of the right quality, will have a prostrating influence upon the system, and will blunt the keener and holier emotions."—Counsels on Health, p. 123.

"Excessive eating of the best of food will produce a morbid condition of the moral feelings. . . . Wrong habits of eating and drinking lead to errors in thought and action. Indulgence of appetite strengthens the animal propensities, giving them the ascendency over the mental and spiritual powers. . . . Everything that conflicts with natural law creates a diseased condition of the soul"—Review and Herald, Jan. 25, 1881.

"Overeating has a worse effect upon the system than overworking; the energies of the soul are more effectually prostrated by intemperate eating than by intemperate working"—Counsels on Health, p. 160.

Christian Perfection Hindered

"The Spirit of God cannot come to our help, and assist us in perfecting Christian characters while we are indulging our appetites to the injury of health, and while the pride of life controls. . . . It is impossible for those who indulge the appetite to attain to Christian perfection."—Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 57.

But beware of that which the old writers called the world’s trinity—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. {Lt43-1898 (May 19, 1898) par. 25}

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world" 1 John 2:16.

"It is impossible for those who give the reins to appetite to attain to Christian perfection"  Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 236.2 (Ellen G. White).

"The health of the body is to be regarded as essential for growth in grace and the acquirement of an even temper. If the stomach is not properly cared for, the formation of an upright, moral character will be hindered." —Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 160.

"Poor cookery is wearing away the life energies of thousands. More souls are lost from this cause than many realize."—Counsels on Health, pp. 116, 117.

"It is a sacred duty for those who cook to learn how to prepare healthful food. Many souls are lost as the result of poor cookery." —The Ministry of Healing, p. 302.

"But those who are slaves to appetite will fail in perfecting Christian character."—Testimonies,vol. 3, p. 492.

"It is impossible for anyone to live intemperately in regard to diet and yet retain a large degree of patience"Testimonies for the Church, vol. 4, p. 140.3 (Ellen G. White).

Definition of Patience: the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.
synonyms: forbearance, tolerance, restraint, self-restraint, stoicism; calmness, composure, equanimity, imperturbability, phlegm, understanding, indulgence

"The controlling power of appetite will prove the ruin of thousands, when, if they had conquered on this point, they would have had moral, power to gain the victory over every other temptation of Satan."—Counsels on Health, p. 574.

"The unhealthful food placed in the stomach strengthens the appetites that war against the soul, developing the lower propensities. A diet of flesh-meat tends to develop animalism. A development of animalism lessens spirituality, rendering the mind incapable of understanding truth. —Counsels on Health, p. 574. . . . The physical nature will be brought into conflict with the spiritual nature. . . . He [God] cannot enlighten the mind of a man who makes a cesspool of his stomach. He does not hear the prayers of those who are walking in the light of the sparks of their own kindling." —Counsels on Health, p. 576.

"Let the members of our churches deny every selfish appetite. Every penny expended for tea, coffee, and flesh meat is worse than wasted, for :these things hinder the best development of the .. . spiritual powers."—Medical Ministry, p. 274.

"The indulgence of appetite affects them in all the relations of life. It is seen in their family, in their church, in the prayer meeting, and in the conduct of their children. It has been the curse of their lives. You cannot make them understand the truths for these last days." —Counsels on Health, p. 152.

"Intemperance in eating and drinking, leading as it does to the indulgence of the lower passions, prepares the way for men to disregard all moral obligations. When assailed by temptation, they have little power of resistance." —Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 378.

Food plays such an important aspect in our life. Food affects our minds tremendously! How clearly we think, or food can numb and clouds our minds so we cannot discern truth or error. Are you choosing the right foods so your mind can learn and obey the truth? It's our daily "little" choices that determine our destiny! So be very, very careful what you think, say and do!

Certainly, the truth is - to learn what live raw fresh fruits, vegetables, grains and nuts we need to be eating to "get well from Cancer, Heart Disease, Parkinson's, Lupus, Arthritis, Diabetes and many, many other diseases by natural methods, without drugs of any kind."

The food which God gave Adam in his sinless state is the best for man’s use as he seeks to regain that sinless state!

For Superior Brainpower Eat:
(Like Daniel and His three friends did!)

"In grains, fruits, vegetables, and nuts are to be found ALL the food elements that we need." CDF 92, 310, 313

No Safety in Using Eggs, Milk, Cream, or Butter
Why? These items impair brain function, including all cheeses and animal meats (red/white/fish etc).

"Let the diet reform be progressive. Let the people be taught how to prepare food without the use of milk or butter. Tell them that the time will soon come (written in 1902) when there will be no safety in using eggs, milk, cream, or butter, because disease in animals is increasing in proportion to the increase of wickedness among men. The time is near when, because of the iniquity of the fallen race, the whole animal creation will groan under the diseases that curse our earth.

God will give His people ability and tact to prepare wholesome food without these thingsLet our people discard all unwholesome recipesLet them learn how to live healthfully, teaching to others what they have learned. Let them impart this knowledge as they would Bible instruction. Let them teach the people to preserve the health and increase the strength by avoiding the large amount ofcooking that has filled the world with chronic invalids. By precept and example make it plain that the food which God gave Adam in his sinless state is the best for man’s use as he seeks to regain that sinless state." Testimonies for the Church Volume 7, p. 135.2 (1902)

"You should be teaching your children. You should be instructing them how to shun the vices and corruptions of this age. Instead of this, many are studying how to get something good to eatYou place upon your tables butter, eggs, and meat, and your children partake of them. They are fed with the very things that will excite their animal passions, and then you come to meeting and ask God to bless and save your children. How high do your prayers go? You have a work to do first. When you have done all for your children which God has left for you to do, then you can with confidence claim the special help that God has promised to give you."—Testimonies for the Church 2:362, 1870

"Men and women must be taught to take a careful review of every habit and practice, and at once put away those things that cause an unhealthy condition of the body." Counsels on Health, 445.

A pure and noble life, a life of victory over appetite and lust, is possible to everyone who will unite his weak, wavering human will to the omnipotent, unwavering will of God. MH 176.

100 years ago, Ellen White wrote this paragraph in her book:

Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator. These foods, prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible,  are the most healthful and nourishing. They impart a strength, a power of endurance, and a vigour of intellect, that are not afforded by a more complex and stimulating diet. [Ellen White, Ministry of Healing p296 (1905)]

Never be ashamed to say, 'No, thank you; I do not eat meat. I have conscientious scruples against eating the flesh of dead animals'" CDF 402.

Christ entered a human body (became a human baby) so He would have blood to shed on our behalf. There is POWER in the BLOOD Christ shed on our behalf.

Divine Power Awaits Those Who Want It—"You may have a deep and abiding sense of eternal things and that love for humanity which Christ has shown in His life. A close connection with heaven will give the right tone to your fidelity and will be the ground of your success. Your feeling of dependence will drive you to prayer, and your sense of duty summon you to effort. Prayer and effort, effort and prayer, will be the business of your life. You must pray as though the efficiency and praise were all due to God, and labor as though duty were all your own. If you want power you may have it; it is waiting your draft upon it. Only believe in God, take Him at His word, act by faith, and blessings will come"—(Testimonies for the Church 4:538, 539.).

"The woman is a symbol of the church, and the remnant of the church represents the Christians of the last generation of men, living just prior to the second advent. The dragon makes war on these for keeping the commandments of God, Sabbath and all, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ, which, according to the inspired definition of chapter 19:10, “is the spirit of prophecy.” Here, then, are the causes of the dragon's warfare upon the remnant. They teach the observance of the Ten Commandments, and the revival of the gifts, and acknowledge the gift of prophecy among them. When the devil got one foot upon the fourth commandment, and the other upon the gifts (miracles) planted in the Christian church by Jesus Christ, then his satanic majesty was filled with revengeful delight. But when the remnant (144,000), whom God designs to fit for translation to heaven without seeing death, “ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein,” then the dragon is wroth, and makes war on them" Spiritual Gifts, vol. 3, p. 26.2.

"Pentecost brought them the heavenly illumination. The truths they could not understand while Christ was with them were now unfolded. With a faith and assurance that they had never before known, they accepted the teachings of the Sacred WordNo longer was it a matter of faith with them that Christ was the Son of God. They knew that, although clothed with humanity, He was indeed the Messiah, and they told their experience to the world with a confidence which carried with it the conviction that God was with them. The Acts of the Apostles, p. 45.3

"The Promise of the gifts is just as strong and trustworthy now as in the days of the apostles. “These signs shall follow them that believe.” . . . For faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God ! . . . . The gifts of Him Who has all power in heaven and in earth, are in store for His children, — gifts so precious that they come to us through the costly sacrifice of the Redeemer’s blood; gifts that will satisfy the deepest craving of the heart; gifts lasting as eternity" The Signs of the Times March 15, 1910 paragraph 11 (Ellen G. White).

"But the Seventh-day Adventists have no human creed or discipline, therefore give room for God to teach through the gifts of the Spirit. They ardently desire to cast aside the traditions and fables of men, and keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ. Their weekly practice in keeping the Sabbath is a standing rebuke on the churches and the world, and on almost every point of Bible 'truth they stand in direct opposition to the popular doctrines of the churches. And, besides this, there has been an unceasing testimony among us, warning us to stand out separate from the world" James White, Review & Herald, October 1, 1861.

"Let your faith be substantiated by the Word of God. Grasp firmly the living testimony of truth. Have faith in Christ as a personal Saviour. He has been and ever will be our Rock of Ages"--Evangelism, p. 362 (1905).

What we NEED is not our own useless faith - but rather the faith OF Jesus!

The faith OF Jesus IS claiming precious Bible promises (2 Peter 1:4/Luke 21:15/John 6:37) as our very own ticket to Heaven. Tracing our fingers over them and praying them over ourselves, friends and family - even our enemies! Pray for our enemies. God says to do this. Praise God for our trials. It is these trials that truly are our greatest blessing. In the heat of the battle it's hard to remember - but this is what we must do. In ALL things give thanks for this is the will of God concerning you.

"Liberty is the very essence of faith" The Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 4, p. 148.2.

You said, "There is one point where I have some reservations or where I would probably have added a bit more. It is where you say that Jesus overcame completely because of depending on the indwelling spirit of the Father in Him. I think this is true to a large extent, but it does not explain how He overcame on the cross when the Father withdrew His spirit from Him. I think we have to acknowledge that Jesus' own divine nature made Him intrinsically good. He was by nature, in His spirit, perfectly good, even though physically and intellectually He was just like us"....

Consider this - what do you think of this? How do the 144,000 live in the sight of a Holy God without a mediator? So God withdrew His Spirit from Christ...... I am only thinking here...  Christ had the MIND of God and we are to have the mind of God in us as well. This can go much farther and deeper in study and prayer.

I have also had this on the edges of my mind... and please correct me if you think it to be way off base.... but I don't believe it is at this point:

"there be gods many, and lords many,)" 1 Cor 8:5. "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him" 1 Corinthians 8:6.

"I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High" Psalms 82:6.

"Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" John 10:34.

More texts I am gathering together about this topic... here:

But I have another question for you. Do you think...the "GODS MANY" could be us when we KNOW and UNDERSTAND the source of our POWER/Character/thoughts and feelings? The Spirit of Jesus in us! IS THE THIRD BEING - us filled with the Holy Spirit JESUS CHRIST invisible power and authority given to us? This IS the body of Christ....many believers collectively - in one body -  "At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you" John 14:20.

John 17:23 "I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me

The holy spirit in us causing us to become like authority and power is only one or another aspect of the great and grand power of God....through Christ.

This makes us LIKE Divinity...Godlike in character ("gods many" per 1 Cor 8:5), nature = "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" John 14:12.

“It was a difficult task for the Prince of life to carry out the plan which He had undertaken for the salvation of man, in clothing His divinity with humanity. He had received honor in the heavenly courts, and was familiar with absolute powerIt was as difficult for Him to keep the level of humanity as for men to rise above the low level of their depraved natures and be partakers of the divine nature”  The Review and Herald April 1, 1875 paragraph 2 (Ellen G. "Christ came to reveal the SOURCE of his power, that man might never rely on his unaided human capabilities.” (Ellen G. White, Review & Herald 18th February 1890, ‘How to meet a controverted point of doctrine’)

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).

Christ’s life on this earth was like the born again Christian’s must be—a life of perfect trust in God. He trusted Himself to His Father; we trust ourselves to Him. He lived without depending upon His perfect nature which He had set aside before He left heaven. We must live, realizing as He did, that of ourselves we can do nothing. We die to our old nature and live by Christ who dwells within us. Christ refused to use His divine (natural) nature!

We must never revert to using our human (natural) nature which is dead, which we must keep dead continuously. 2 Cor. 4: 10 -12.

“Man may become a partaker of the divine nature; not a soul lives who may not summon the aid of Heaven in temptation and trial. Christ came to reveal the SOURCE of his power, that man might never rely on his unaided human capabilities.” (Ellen G. White, Review & Herald 18th February 1890, ‘How to meet a controverted point of doctrine’)

Jesus shares the authority God GAVE Him with us:

Luke 9:1: "Then he called his twelve disciples together, and GAVE THEM power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases."

Mark 13:34 "For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, AND to every man HIS WORK, and commanded the porter to watch."

Satan tempted both Christ and us in the same way, by trying to break our relationship or dependence upon God. This is why we must constantly think positionally and not conditionally. Being justified, we are members of God’s family—a fact we must never forget. Whenever we do wrong Satan tries to use our failure as evidence that our position is not real but only imaginary. He also tried to force Christ to think the same way.

"But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man" Acts 10:26.

Acts 14:15
"Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them.

Revelation 19:10
"At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus."

Revelation 22:8
I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me.

Wouldn't it be terrible to be lost because of a grammatical error? A misunderstanding? A type of grammatical person! An Illeism!  Christ spoke often in the third person of Himself. See below:

Christ was referring to Himself as the Comforter His Father would send to replace His visible presence with Christ's Spirit - His omnipresent Spirit! Able to be present everywhere! It was expedient for Him to go back to Heaven - so he could return and be present everywhere by His own Spirit/Presence instead of limited to His human form and only able to be in one place at a time. This is part of what makes Christ intricately like His Father and His God = "omnipresent". Only NOW "invisible", "unseen", "withdrawn from the eye of sense"....ect...

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you" John 16:7. (Example of Jesus speaking in third person = called "Illeism" )

"Many who refuse the message which the Lord sends them are seeking to find pegs on which to hang doubts, to find some excuse for rejecting the light of heaven. In the face of clear evidence they say, as did the Jews, “Show us a miracle, and we will believe. If these messengers have the truth, why do they not heal the sick?” ...

Could their eyes be opened, they would see evil angels exulting around them and triumphing in their power to deceive them. The day is just before us when Satan will answer the demand of these doubters and present numerous miracles to confirm the faith of all those who are seeking this kind of evidence. How terrible will be the situation of those who close their eyes to the light of truth and ask for miracles to establish them in deception!—Letter 4, 1889Evangelism, p. 594.1 (Ellen G. White).

"Satan can present a counterfeit so closely resembling the truth that it deceives those who are willing to be deceivedwho desire to shun the self-denial and sacrifice demanded by the truth; but it is impossible for him to hold under his power one soul who honestly desires, at whatever cost, to know the truthChrist is the truth and the “Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” John 1:9 Darkness Before Dawn, p. 11 (Ellen G. White).

I do not disagree with you that the third person/office of the Godhead is the "holy" Spirit (cultivator). Where you and I disagree is that the third person isSOMEONE OTHER THAN CHRIST! :(

I believe the third person is Christ's Spirit, his own HOLY Spirit sent to convict and teach us the truth about Himself!

Jesus spoke of Himself many times in the third person known as Illeism. See defination here:

What does it mean to speak in third person?

Third person = "the absent": someone who is neither speaking nor being spoken to. These terms are used to classify words according to who they refer to: as you mention in the question, when it comes to pronouns, I and we belong to the first person, you to the second, and he/she/it/they to the third person.

Illeism /ˈɪli.ɪzəm/ (from Latin ille meaning "he, that") is the act of referring to oneself in the third person instead of first personIlleism is sometimes used in literature as a stylistic device. Source:

Third person or third-person may refer to:
  • A type of grammatical person (in English, hesheit and they)
    • Illeism, referring to oneself using this grammar ("in the thirdperson")
  • Third-person narrative, a perspective in plays, storytelling, or movies
    • Third-person view, a point of view shot in film, television and video games by having the viewpoint outside any of the actors
Also, be sure to read the text (John 14:16) in CONTEXT (John 14:16-18). Don't stop at verse 16, because Jesus clarifies who is coming! See verse 18 "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."!

No doubt about that. Jesus says He Himself is the Comforter! If we let the Bible interpret itself and don't interpose a perverse will - we won't be lost. Because it is impossible for Satan to hold under his power one soul who honestly desires, at whatever cost, to know the truthChrist is the truth and the “Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” John 1:9".

John 14:16-18(KJV)

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

In John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am ... the truth,.... no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit" 1 Corinthians 15:45.

Example of Jesus speaking of HIMSELF in the third person:

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself [he does NOT speak HIS words but the words "His Father" GAVE him to speak]; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come" John 16:13.

John 7:16
Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.

John 8:26
"I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world."

John 8:28
So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.

John 14:10
Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

John 14:24
Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

John 14:31
but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me. "Come now; let us leave.

John 17:8
For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

Deuteronomy 18:18
I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him.

"For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak" John 12:49.

John 6:68
Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever--John 14:16 (Jesus often spoke of Himself in the third person...) Example: 1After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:  "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.

There are a number of places where Jesus refers to himself in the third person. The most common is when he uses the title 'Son of Man' (by my count, there are some 78 times Jesus uses that title in the gospels!). For example Matthew 16:13 (NIV): When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"

but He spoke in the 'third person' by calling Himself:

For example: ‘The Father loves The Son and has given everything into His hand’ (John
3:35). Jesus could have said, “My Father loves Me and has given everything into My hand”
but that was not the way Jesus spoke.

He never exalted Himself.

God expressly commanded us to, “Listen to Him.” That word ‘listen’ in this context, means more than just
hearing Jesus’ words. That means to listen, pay attention, obey, yield to His authority as
God the Father’s divine representative on this earth. If we disobey any directive given by
Jesus, we are disobeying God the Father. ‘And so each of us will have to give an account
of himself to God’ (Romans 14:12). We need to take Jesus seriously.

The disciples could not understand how Jesus could go to Heaven yet be with them here too by His Spirit. If you have Jesus, you also have His Father also. 1 John 2:23 "No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also." I certainly do not want to deny that Jesus is truly the literal Son of God - he was and is not just "role playing" as the SDA church claims today....1 John 4:15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God." 1 John 5:1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well."

"At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you." John 14:20

2 John 1:9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

New International Version (©1984)
"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven." Matthew 10:32

Matthew 10:32-33

King James Version (KJV)

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

By denying that Jesus truly is the literal Son of God who God SENT from Heaven to reconcile us back to Himself, we ARE denying Jesus. By denying Jesus is the Son of God, we are denying the Father also. I certainly do not want to deny them! We need them both desperately! "He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath BOTH the Father and the Son." 2 John 1:9

A few quotes by Ellen White on the Comforter:

"WE WANT THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST.” {Lt66-1894 (April 10, 1894) par. 18} - EGW

Ellen White cannot be much plainer than that.

While God has given ample evidence for faith, He will never remove all excuse for unbelief. All who look for hooks to hang their doubts upon will find them. And those who refuse to accept and obey God's word until every objection has been removed, and there is no longer an opportunity for doubt, will never come to the light....

There is but one course for those to pursue who honestly desire to be freed from doubts. Instead of questioning and caviling concerning that which they do not understand, let them give heed to the light which already shines upon them, and they will receive greater light. Let them do every duty which has been made plain to their understanding, and they will be enabled to understand and perform those of which they are now in doubt.

Satan can present a counterfeit so closely resembling the truth that it deceives those who are willing to be deceived, who desire to shun the self-denial and sacrifice demanded by the truth; but it is impossible for him to hold under his power one soul who honestly desires, at whatever cost, to know the truth. Christ is the truth and the “Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” John 1:9. The Spirit of truth has been sent to guide men into all truth. And upon the authority of the Son of God it is declared: “Seek, and ye shall find.” “If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine.” Matthew 7:7John 7:17.

"Christ is to be known by the blessed name of Comforter.” {Ms7-1902 (January 26, 1902) par. 10} - EGW

the doctrine of Christ -"He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath BOTH the Father and the Son." 2 John 1:9

Said the angel, "Think ye that the Father yielded up His dearly beloved Son without a struggle? No, no. It was even a struggle with the God of heaven, whether to let guilty man perish, or to give His beloved Son to die for him" Patriarchs and Prophets, pp. 63–65.

If you insist that Christ is not our Comforter as Ellen White the inspired prophet of God says He is...Can you tell me where from the Bible that theTHIRD BEING called "God the Holy Spirit" is someone other than Christ?

Also, where in the Bible is Jesus called "God the Son"? I can find no such terminology. I find many times where Jesus is called the "Son of God". "God the Son" makes this into something other than the "Son of God" implies.

"Those who turn from the plain teaching of Scripture and the convicting power of God’s Holy Spirit are inviting the control of demons." The Desire of Ages, p. 258.2

Dictionary meaning of Preverse: Showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable, often in spite of the consequences.

Let us not have a perverse will and thus frustrate the Grace of God offered to us!

May God bless you dear brother and sister. These are serious discussions of which a record is being made in Heaven.

Interesting thoughts!

We are to be gods with Christ's Spirit indwelling in us.

Think and pray on it. May God bless you and give you power from on High.
