Come Out of Egypt! - Let My People Go! Separate from What?

“The Name Trinity and its "idea", stems from pagan Egypt and even further the Chaldean's of Job's time in history.”

Idol Worship
This will catch many people off guard I'm sure. It can also be done up in many different ways, using different idols as examples. But the way he explains idol worship in this scenario is quite telling to say the least. It's not only done in an easy to understand manner, it's actually 100% true. A must see! I am sure this video will go viral very soon. At least among Christians that is. Sep 25 11, 02:09:58

It’s interesting to note, that
just as Jesus called the children of Israel out of Egypt, that they might keep his Sabbath, so too today is Jesus calling his people out of Babylon, that they may not worship the beast or his image (see Revelation 13). [Review & Herald, December 13, 1892 par. 1]

....In the morning, as they came up to the sea, lo, there was a dry path, the waters were divided, and stood like a wall upon either side, and the children of Israel were half way through the sea, walking on dry land. They waited a while to decide what course they had better pursue. They were disappointed and enraged, that, as the Hebrews were almost in their power, and they were sure of them, an unexpected way was opened for them in the sea. They decided to follow them. "And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.... (3SG pp.234, 235)

...They overtook the Hebrews at the Red Sea. This place was appointed for the last display of the power of God before the infatuated Egyptians. In the morning, they came up to the Red Sea and saw the Hebrew host walking upon a dry path prepared for them in the sea, while high walls of water stood upon either side, congealed by the power of God.... (1SG p. 219)

“According to Matthew 2:15, when the little boy Jesus, along with Joseph and Mary, fled to Egypt to escape from Herod, this “fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘Out of Egypt I called my son.’”

When Matthew quoted the second half of Hosea 11:1, he took for granted that his readers would know the whole verse. (Remember that many of Matthew’s intended readers knew large portions of the Hebrew Scriptures by heart, and quoting just part of a verse was a common Jewish practice of the day.) What he was saying was clear: Just as it happened to Israel, God’s national “son,” so also it happened to Jesus, God’s Messianic Son, and the ideal representative of the nation. Both were called out of Egypt in their childhood.

"September 23, the Lord showed me that He had stretched out His hand the second time to recover the remnant of His people, [See page 86.] and that efforts must be redoubled in this gathering time. In the scattering, Israel was smitten and torn, but now in the gathering time God will heal and bind up His people. In the scattering, efforts made to spread the truth had but little effect, accomplished but little or nothing; but in the gathering, when God has set His hand to gather His people, efforts to spread the truth will have their designed effect. All should be united and zealous in the work. I saw that it was wrong for any to refer to the scattering for examples to govern us now in the gathering; for if God should do no more for us now than He did then, Israel would never be gathered. I have seen that the 1843 chart was directed by the hand of the Lord, and that it should not be altered; that the figures were as He wanted them; that His hand was over and hid a mistake in some of the figures, so that none could see it, until His hand was removed. [This applies to the chart used during the 1843 movement, and has special reference to the calculation of the prophetic periods as it appeared on that chart. The next sentence explains that there was an inaccuracy which in the providence of God was suffered to exist. But this does not preclude the publication of a chart subsequently which would correct the mistake, after the 1843 movement was past, and the calculation as then made had served its purpose.]

Then I saw in relation to the "daily" (Dan. 8:12) that the word "sacrifice" was supplied by man's wisdom, and does not belong to the text, and that the Lord gave the correct view of it to those who gave the

judgment hour cry. When union existed, before 1844, nearly all were united on the correct view of the "daily"; but in the confusion since 1844, other views have been embraced, and darkness and confusion have followed. Time has not been a test since 1844, and it will never again be a test.

The Lord has shown me that the message of the third angel must go, and be proclaimed to the scattered children of the Lord, but it must not be hung on time. I saw that some were getting a false excitement, arising from preaching time; but the third angels message is stronger than time can be. I saw that this message can stand on its own foundation and needs not time to strengthen it; and that it will go in mighty power, and do its work, and will be cut short in righteousness (truth about Jesus)." (Early Writings : Page 74 The Gathering Time)

Seventh-day Adventists *and all churches today* must get off of the fence, for being on the fence is the same as being on the wrong side of the fence. Are the truths that the SDA church started with still truths? If they are still truths, why is the SDA church teaching other things that contradict those truths? If the doctrines in which gave rise to the SDA church are false, then on what basis does the SDA church rely upon the Spirit of Prophecy to guide her?

The true motive of every non-trinitarian that I know including myself is to help the people who claim to be SDAs to return to the SDA doctrine that was given to the Pioneers and Ellen White. God really did lead them. We are to follow in the platform of truth that they established as a result of God's leading. "The majority are usually to be found on the side of error and falsehood." 4 Spirit of Prophecy, p. 214. Those who are not willing to repent of their sins and wish to lead a worldly lifestyle will also choose to be led by a spirit other than Christ's spirit. I certainly hope that is not you. So in the spirit of non-trinitarians I invite you to join the great Advent movement that God has started and has reserved a reward to each faithful one who follows the path that He has made for us with the light of truth shining on that path so that we never need to step off because of darkness. Don't get confused or distracted by the size of the group that you follow. The companies of people in the end will be small because the majority will want to go their own way.

When God speaks of His church, He is not speaking of a group of people who now follow a set of man-made dogmas from a book that has 27 or 28 on the cover. His principles are still the same now as when they were given. The devil can't change these principles of truth, the SDA church can't change them, and you can't change them. It is hard for anyone to kick against the pricks. (Acts 9:5)

So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God.

The “third person of the Godhead” was understood by Ellen White to be none other than the glorified life of Christ (His very own life), not another individual being different to Christ and the Father.

Christ is waiting for the MANIFESTATION OF HIMSELF (His Breath/His Spirit) in us THEN HE WILL COME!! The Holy Spirit is Jesus' victorious RISEN LIFE (God's PRESENCE and POWER=Character=thoughts and feelings in Jesus imparted to us through His Son)

Who is our MIGHTY COUNSELOR??? Jesus the Holy Spirit!

Isaiah 9:6

King James Version (KJV)

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jesus said, “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you” (John 14:26).

Did you get that? The Counselor (Jesus) IS the Holy Spirit! His RISEN VICTORIOUS LIFE! OUR PRIZE! The BREATH of CHRIST is breathed upon us. God is giving us life through, and because of His Son's blood that COVERS our sins! By our words, our breath, breathed out shows who in living in our temple/body. Our words are a covenant before GOD.

By our words (BREATH=Holy Spirit=Jesus breathed on His disciples) we are either sanctified or condemned:

Jesus receives BREATH/HOLY SPIRIT from GOD and IMPARTS it into us.

The Holy Spirit (GOD THROUGH JESUS) is ever waiting to do His office work upon the human heart. Those who desire to learn can place themselves in close connection with God, and the promise that the Comforter shall teach them all things, and bring all things to their remembrance, whatever Christ had said to His disciples when He was upon the earth will be fulfilled. But if we disconnect from God, we can be no longer students in the school of Christ. Then we shall feel no special burden for the souls for whom Christ has died.

It was most difficult for the disciples of Christ to keep His lessons distinct from the traditions and maxims of the rabbis, the scribes, and pharisees. The teachings which the disciples had been educated to respect as the voice of God held a power over their minds and molded their sentiments. The disciples could not be a living and shining light until they were freed from the influence of the sayings and commandments of men, and the words of Christ were deeply impressed upon their minds and hearts as distinct truths, as precious jewels, to be appreciated, loved, and acted upon.

Jesus came to the world, lived a holy life, and died, to leave to his church (HIS PEOPLE) His legacy in the valuable treasures He entrusted to them. He made His disciples the depositaries of most precious doctrines, to be placed in the hands of His church unmixed with the errors and traditions of men. He revealed Himself to them as the light of the world, the Sun of righteousness. And He promised them the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father was to send in His name.—The Signs of the Times, November 16, 1891.

“I will not leave you comfortless (spiritually breathless); I will come to you” (John 14:18). The divine Spirit that the world’s Redeemer promised to send is the presence and power of God. He will not leave His people in the world destitute of His grace, to be buffeted by the enemy of God, and harassed by the oppression of the world; but He will come to them.—The Signs of the Times, November 23, 1891.

Today, people are enslaved just as the Israelites were when God sent Moses to save them. During the last days of this earth's history, we need to "Come Out of Egypt" just as the Israelites did, so we are not partakers of the coming plagues. The hour of God's judgment is at hand. Just as in Egypt, plagues are coming for all those who harden their heart against God. Coming out of Egypt means life eternal, that they might know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom God hast sent. How far do you want to come out of Egypt? I want to go all the way to the kingdom of Heaven! How about you?

Joseph himself from his youth up was a devout student in the school of God. Finally, he took his post-graduate work in Egypt. When he had obtained sufficient knowledge he became a king, and all Egypt -- in fact the whole ancient world -- bowed down to him. Just as every tongue today, will bow down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.  (Rom 14:11)

Joseph became the world's greatest economist and banker, too. Never since his day has anyone done as much: he managed to buy all his country's surplus grain for seven years, and gathered all the people's money and their land -- both cash and mortgages he deposited in Pharaoh's bank. Besides this, he saved the world from starvation. You show me such products as these from the schools of man, and I will show you that rain does not drop down from the skies.

Spiritual rain comes only from the Holy Spirit, the life of Christ living in us. The latter rain, or spiritual rain of the Holy Spirit living in us; that makes Christ present everywhere, comes only because we have zealously repented and have turned from our wicked ways and are helping to restore the true worship of the true God; and are keeping holy all Ten of God's Royal Law: The Ten Commandments, in these last days of earth's history. “The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ; it is His representative. Here is the divine agency that carries conviction to hearts.” {13MR 313} When God's people earnestly pray for deliverance from bondage, God will send Jesus to deliver us. But not until we earnestly seek Him!

Then there was Moses. From his youth up to his forties he went both to the school of God and the school of Pharaoh. With this dual education he felt strong and capable enough to free the Hebrew nation from Pharaoh's brickyards. He started out by killing an Egyptian, and then he fled the country. God, nevertheless, was not through with him. He took him to Mount Horeb and there He made him tend sheep. There while keeping sheep to make a living and to pay his tuition he was unlearning Pharaoh's education, and there in the school of God, he learned how to become the world's greatest emancipator-general, author, ruler, educator, lawmaker and prophet.

The issue today is over worship. The Israelites could not worship the Sovereign God while enslaved to Pharaoh, and we cannot worship the True Sovereign God while enslaved to a particular denomination's name; especially with false doctrines that break the Ten Commandments written with the finger of God. The Holy Spirit is the finger of GOD. Are we making a Idol out of a church name; replacing Christ, Our Saviour with a particular denomination or trademarked organization? "I prayed to the LORD [Jehovah] and said, “Sovereign LORD, do not destroy your people, your own inheritance that you redeemed by your great power and brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand." Deuteronomy 9:26  "But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you." Luke 11:20

"The Holy Spirit traced these truths upon my heart and mind as indelibly as the law was traced by the finger of God upon the tables of stone, which are now in the ark, to be brought forth in that great day when sentence will be pronounced against every evil, seducing science produced by the father of lies.--Letter 90, 1906. (Colporteur Ministry, p. 126.)" (Selected Messages, Book 3, page 122, paragraphs 2-3.) "And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God." (Exodus 31:18) "And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly." (Deuteronomy 9:10)

To misidentify the Holy Spirit, the life and soul of Christ, as someone different from Christ is to worship another god, different from the Son of God. Satan's aspiration is to be worshiped as the Sovereign God. (Isaiah 14:14) He tried to get Christ to bow and worship before him in his third and final temptation. God says to Satan today as he did in Egypt, "Let my people go, so that they can worship me in Spirit and in Truth!"

Rev. 18:4
"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins and receive not of her plagues”. (Her = means all churches who don't keep ALL TEN commandments and the faith of Jesus.) Revelation 19:10, “…the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

The Laodicean church cannot see its condition. It is blind and poor and naked. Satan, "the god of this world, has blinded the minds of them which believe not". (2 Corinthians 4:4) He has transformed himself into an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14), a heavenly imposter, masquerading as another third person of the Godhead, so that "he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." (2 Thes. 2:4) "Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit in you?" (1 Cor 6:"19)

The True Church is Zion, the church in Heaven! Our bodies and the presence of God and Jesus inside us can alone constitute a church, a church made without hands.

The True Witness (Jesus) says to buy of Him pure gold. If we are in need of nothing, why did Jesus tell us we were blind, poor and naked? Are we going to be forever lost, like the five foolish virgins, needing oil (oil=Jesus living in us=Holy Spirit) at the last hour? Or, are we going to fill our lamps with oil, just in the nick of time? There is no time to waste, My dear brothers and sisters. Please, do not harden your hearts as did Pharaoh in Egypt. "Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said." Exodus 8:19.

Have you read this?

Any connection with infidels and unbelievers which would identify us with them is forbidden by the word. We are to come out from them and be separateIn no case are we to link ourselves with them in their plans or work.”  E.G. White, FE 482.

May GOD guide us!

ARE YOU PARTAKING OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD & EVIL? Think about it. If you keep attending any church who only keeps most, but not all of the ten commandments, are you partaking of the forbidden fruit? If you study books, lessons, watch CD's, have friend(s), which have 90% or 99.9% truth, but have the forbidden fruit of error at all, should we partake of them? Would that not be eating the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil?

"I was shown that the THIRD ANGEL, proclaiming the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, represents the PEOPLE who receive this message and raise the voice in warning to the world." Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, 77."The members of the church triumphant--the church [whose members names are written] in heaven--will be permitted to DRAW NEAR to the members of the church militantto aid them in their necessity." E. G. White, The Southern Watchman, Sep. 8, 1903.

Faithful men are faithful men are faithful men—the church triumphant.  Always remember:

“The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth.” E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH TESTIMONIES, VOL 4].

The Sovereign God is calling us closer to Him. The Bible is the word of God. Jesus speaking to our hearts through the Bible and the Holy Spirit. “The Sovereign of the universe was not alone in his work of beneficence. He had an associate —a co-worker who could appreciate his purposes, and could share his joy in giving happiness to created beings. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1, 2. Christ, the Word, the only begotten of God, was one with the eternal Father—one in nature, in character, in purpose— the only being that could enter into all the counsels and purposes of God.” Patriarchs and Prophets, page 34, par.1

"And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads." Revelation 14:1

"Soon we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming. The living saints, 144,000 in number, knew and understood the voice, while the wicked thought it was thunder and an earthquake. When God spoke the time, He poured upon us the Holy Ghost, and our faces began to light up and shine with the glory of God, as Moses' did when he came down from Mount Sinai." Christian Experience and Teachings of Ellen White p. 58

"The 144,000 were all sealed, and perfectly united. On their foreheads (written with the finger of God=Holy Spirit, how are the 144,00 sealed? With the Holy Spirit) was written, "God, New Jerusalem," and a glorious star containing Jesus' new name. At our happy, holy state the wicked were enraged, and would rush violently up to lay hands on us to thrust us into prison, when we would stretch forth the hand in the name of the Lord, and they would fall helpless to the ground. Then it was that the synagogue of Satan knew that God had loved us who could wash one another's feet, and salute the brethren with a holy kiss, and they worshiped at our feet." Christian Experience and Teachings of Ellen White p. 58

"Then I was taken to a world which had seven moons. There I saw good old Enoch, who had been translated. 99 On his right arm he bore a glorious palm, and on each leaf was written "Victory." Around his head was a dazzling white wreath, and leaves on the wreath, and in the middle of each leaf was written "Purity," and around the wreath were stones of various colors, that shone brighter than the stars, and cast a reflection upon the letters and magnified them. On the back part of his head was a bow that confined the wreath, and upon the bow was written "Holiness." Above the wreath was a lovely crown that shone brighter than the sun. I asked him if this was the place he was taken to from the earth. He said, "It is not; the city is my home, and I have come to visit this place." He moved about the place as if perfectly at home. I begged of my attending angel to let me remain in that place. I could not bear the thought of coming back to this dark world again. Then the angel said, "You must go back, and if you are faithful, you, with the 144,000, shall have the privilege of visiting all the worlds and viewing the handiwork of God." Christian Experience and Teachings of Ellen White p. 98

"I saw that the four angels would hold the four winds until Jesus' work was done in the sanctuary, and then will come the seven last plagues. These plagues enraged the wicked against the righteous; they thought that we had brought the judgments of God upon them, and that if they could rid the earth of us, the plagues would then be stayed. A decree went forth to slay 37 the saints, which caused them to cry day and night for deliverance. This was the time of Jacob's trouble. Then all the saints cried out with anguish of spirit, and were delivered by the voice of God. The 144,000 triumphed. Their faces were lighted up with the glory of God. Then I was shown a company who were howling in agony. On their garments was written in large characters, "Thou art weighed in the balance, and found wanting." I asked who this company were. The angel said, "These are they who have once kept the Sabbath and have given it up." I heard them cry with a loud voice, "We have believed in Thy coming, and taught it with energy." And while they were speaking, their eyes would fall upon their garments and see the writing, and then they would wail aloud. I saw that they had drunk of the deep waters, and fouled the residue with their feet--trodden the Sabbath underfoot-- and that was why they were weighed in the balance and found wanting." Early Writings p.36

"One of the marked features in the representation of the 144,000 is that in their mouth there was found no guile. The Lord has said, "Blessed is the man . . . in whose spirit there is no guile." They profess to be children of God, and are represented as following the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. They are prefigured before us as standing on Mount Zion, girt for holy service, clothed in white linen, which is the righteousness of the saints. But all who follow the Lamb in heaven will first have followed Him on earth, in trustful, loving, willing obedience, followed Him not fretfully and capriciously, but confidently, truthfully, as the flock follows the shepherd." 3 Selected Messages p.424

"Christ says that there will be those in the church who will present fables and suppositions, when God has given grand, elevating, ennobling truths, which should ever be kept in the treasure house of the mind. When men pick up this theory and that theory, when they are curious to know something it is not necessary for them to know, God is not leading them. It is not His plan that His people shall present something which they have to suppose, which is not taught in the Word. It is not His will that they shall get into controversy over questions which will not help them spiritually, such as, Who is to compose the hundred and forty-four thousand. This those who are the elect of God will in a short time know without question." 7 Bible Commentary p. 97

When we open the door of our heart, we must be extremely careful. Do we know who it is we are inviting in? Jesus says he stands at the door and knocks. If we open the door for him, Jesus says he will come in. (Rev 3:20) Jesus said he would not leave us comfortless orphans, "I will come to you". (John 14:18)

Jesus has said, "I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me." John 12:32 "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God." (1 John 4:15) Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having BELIEVED, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit," "Now the Lord [Jesus] is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (KJV) 2 Corinthians 3:17. Jesus says in John 14:15, a COMMAND of GOD: "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Jesus said, "Freely you have received, freely give." Matthew 10:8

Chapter 346—That Your Joy May Be Full

And the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him. Ezra 7:6.

Christ would have everyone possess in abundance the grace of heaven. He desires that His joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. Every soul is to discipline himself in strict, faithful service, just as verily out of meeting as in meeting. You are in full view of the heavenly angels, and every faithful disciple may be, if he will, as was Ezra before the king. The hand of God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against those who forsake Him, and who trust in the help and friendship of the world, going to the God of Ekron to inquire, and heeding not the counsel of the living God.

The children of God will know who is their helper. They will know in whom they can trust implicitly, and with Christ’s help, they may, without presumption, have a holy confidence. Yes, His servants may safely trust in Him alone, without fear, looking unto Jesus, pressing on in obedience to His requirements, leaving EVERYTHING that is joined to the world, whether the world opposes or favors. Their success comes from God, and they will not fail because they have not the wealth and influence of wicked men. If they fail, it will be because they do not obey the Lord’s requirements, and the Holy Spirit is not with them....

Our only safety is in being joined to the Lord Jesus Christ. We can afford to lose the friendship of worldly men. Those who JOIN THEMSELVES to worldly men, that they may carry out their unsanctified purposes, make a fearful mistake; for they forfeit the favor and blessing of God. I am to urge upon the attention of our people that the Lord Himself has placed a wall of separation between the world and that which He has established on the earth. God’s people are to serve Him, for Christ has called them OUT of the world, and sanctified and refined them, that they may do His service.... There is no such thing as maintaining concord between the profane and the holy. There can be no concord between Christ and Belial. But “the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself” (Psalm 4:3). And this consecration to the Lord, this separation from the world, is plainly declared and positively enjoined in both the Old and the New Testaments.—Letter 329, December 11, 1905, to J. A. Burden, manager of the Loma Linda Sanitarium.

Come out from among them, and be ye separate.” 2 Corinthians 6:17. Shall we hear the voice of God and obey, or shall we make halfway work of the matter and try to serve God and mammon? There is earnest work before each one of us. Right thoughts, pure and holy purposes, do not come to us naturally. We shall have to strive for them. In all our institutions, our publishing houses and colleges and sanitariums, pure and holy principles must take root. If our institutions are what God designs they should be, those connected with them will not pattern after worldly institutions. They will stand as peculiar, governed and controlled by the Bible standard. They will not come into harmony with the principles of the world in order to gain patronage. (What happens if they do? LIKE THEY HAVE DONE? Do they have a free go to heaven card? No.) No motives will have sufficient force to move them from the straight line of duty. Those who are under the control of the Spirit of God will not seek their own pleasure or amusement. If Christ presides in the hearts of the members of His church, they will answer to the call, “Come out from among them, and be ye separate.” “Be not partakers of her sins.” Revelation 18:4.

- Christ, His true people, and His true church stand under this motto;

"Our holy faith cries out, Separation.",

3RH 139 col 3 mid; 1T 240 mid.

- While satan, his true people, and his true church stand under this motto, as stated by Benjamin Creme who is the spokesman for the Maitreya (the false christ); "What he (Maitreya) is saying is that if we would save this world, and thus save ourselves, we have to accept that we are one, that humanity is one.... He says, 'This crime of separation. . . This crime moves me to grief, He says. The crime of separation must be driven from the world. I affirm that as my purpose.'"

Benjamin Creme - spokesman for the Maitreya, on the Sally Jesse Raphael

talk show entitled "The Christ: Is Now Here?" on 12/8/87, 10 AM.

- Which motto will you stand under and advocate - Christ's or the devil's? Whatever motto you choose to stand under and to advocate will decide whether you are part of God's true people and His true church or whether you are part of Satan's true people and his true church. Your physical position and your words will clearly show to all as to what your choice really was and for whom you are really living and working for in these last days!

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty"

2 Corinthians 6:17-18.

"Here and there an individual member of a family is true to the convictions of his conscience, and is compelled to stand alone in his family or in the church to which he belongs, and is finally compelled, because of the course of those with whom he associates, to separate himself from their companionship. The line of demarcation is made distinct. One stands upon the word -of God, the other upon the traditions and sayings of men."

3RH 169 col 2 mid.

Come out of her, my people.

"After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, 'Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a habitation of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!'" (Revelation 18:1,2).

"And I heard another voice from heaven saying, 'Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities'" (Revelation 18:4,5).

Babylon (or Babel) was the capital of an ancient empire. The name means "confusion" and originates from the confusion of languages which halted the building of the tower of Babel.

Symbolically, Babylon represents the confusion of idolatry and false religion. "And look, here comes a chariot of men with a pair of horsemen! And he answered and said, 'Babylon is fallen, is fallen! And all the carved images of her gods He has broken to the ground'" (Isaiah 21:9). "Declare among the nations, Proclaim, and set up a standard; Proclaim, and do not conceal it -- Say, 'Babylon is taken, Bel is shamed. Merodach is broken in pieces; Her idols are humiliated, Her images are broken in pieces'" (Jeremiah 50:2). "And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" (Revelation 17:5). Harlotry represents unfaithfulness to the true God through the worship of idols (Exodus 34:15,16; Leviticus 20:5; Deuteronomy 31:16; Psalm 73:27; Judges 2:17; 8:33; Jeremiah 2:20; 3:1; Ezekiel 16:15-17). In all ages, Satan -- that old serpent, the enemy of God and man -- has supplied the world with a confusion of false religions.

Israel was carried away into Babylonian captivity as punishment for its apostasy and idolatry. God's temple was destroyed. In Babylon, the Israelites could not worship God according to His word (Psalm 137:1-4).

Flee from Babylon!

Afterwards, God's people were commanded to flee from Babylon and return to Zion. This had a literal and a spiritual meaning. After 70 years of captivity, the Israelites were allowed literally to return to Jerusalem. This was on the condition that they would repent of their idolatry to restore the true religion at Jerusalem. Since their return there has been virtually no worship of images among the Jews!

This also has a deeper spiritual meaning. This prophetic content is seen in the passages where Israel is commanded to flee from Babylon. Some of them are clearly Messianic.

"Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldees! With a voice of singing, declare, proclaim 'The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!'" (Isaiah 48:20). See verses 12-22.

"Depart! Depart! Go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her, be clean, you who bear the vessels of the LORD" (Isaiah 52:11). See verses 7-12.

"'In those days and in that time,' says the Lord, 'The children of Israel shall come, They and the children of Judah together; With continual weeping they shall come, And seek the Lord their God. They shall ask the way to Zion, With their faces toward it, saying, "Come and let us join ourselves to the Lord In a perpetual covenant That will not be forgotten"'" (Jeremiah 50:4,5). "Move from the midst of Babylon, Go out of the land of the Chaldeans; And be like the rams before the flocks" (Jeremiah 50:8). "Flee from the midst of Babylon, And every one save his life! Do not be cut off in her iniquity, For this is the time of the Lord's vengeance; He shall recompense her" (Jeremiah 51:6). "We would have healed Babylon, But she is not healed. Forsake her, and let us go everyone to his own country; For her judgment reaches to heaven and is lifted up to the skies. The Lord has revealed our righteousness. Come and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God" (Jeremiah 51:9,10). "My people, go out of the midst of her! And let everyone deliver himself from the fierce anger of the Lord" (Jeremiah 51:45). See chapters 50 and 51.

"Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon" (Zechariah 2:7).

In addition to Babylon, we also find Sodom, Jerusalem and Rome used as symbols of apostasy, corruption and idolatry (Revelation 11:8; 17:18). The expression "great city" is used in Scripture to designate idolatrous and evil cities: Nineveh (Genesis 10:11; Jonah 1:2; 3:2,3; 4:11); Gibeon (Joshua 10:1); Jerusalem (Jeremiah 22:8; Revelation 11:8); Sodom (Revelation 11:8); Babylon (Revelation 16:19; 18:10); Rome (Revelation 17:18). If you compare the passages in Revelation, you will discover that Jerusalem, Sodom, Babylon and Rome are all referring to the same city! This is the city of the false prophet, the city of the antichrist, the city which represents all rebellion to God.

We too must flee

In our time as well, God's people are commanded to depart from Babylon. We may not participate in the false religions that surround us. God calls us out of Babylon and tells us to return to Zion: "And I heard another voice from heaven saying, 'Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities'" (Revelation 18:4,5).

How can God's people be in Babylon? Referring to certain people who had not yet heard the Gospel, Jesus said: "Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city" (Acts 18:9,10). These were people who were searching for God and whose attitude was such that they would accept the Gospel. Through the preaching of Paul they were given an opportunity to repent and be saved, to escape from Babylon.

In His prayer to the Father, Jesus said: "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word" (John 17:6).

Cornelius is also a good example. He prayed regularly to God and did good deeds (Acts 10:4,31). Because God appreciated this, He provided Cornelius with an opportunity to hear the Gospel. Just through his prayer and good works, however, Cornelius was not yet saved! He was commanded: "Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter, who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved" (Acts 11:13,14).

Why must we depart from Babylon? "Lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues" (Revelation 18:4).

What does it mean to depart from Babylon? "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols?" (2 Corinthians 6:14-16). "Belial" means "the worthless one" or "the lawless one".

"Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you" (2 Corinthians 6:17). "Beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2 Corinthians 7:1). Read 2 Corinthians 6:14 through 7:1.

Some people think they can compromise with a false religion. They try to serve Christ in the camp of the antichrist! They think they can serve God inwardly although they remain in a denomination that deviates from the doctrine of Christ.

They are mistaken. If they remain in Babylon, they will perish with Babylon. "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds" (2 John 9-11). "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch" (Matthew 15:13,14).

God warns us

"Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldees!" (Isaiah 48:20).
