The End Times Passover and Why Christians Will Suffer 'Great' Tribulation

(Pietro da Cortona 'The Guardian Angel' ca.1656 at
Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica, Rome)

Will there be a secret Pre-Tribulation escape to Heaven before the Lord returns?

It’s Not Biblical! Neither will there be a Mid-Tribulation, Post-Tribulation nor a "Pre-Wrath" escape to Heaven; but we will be "caught up" to have a "meeting in the air" with Jesus Christ, immediately before He descends to earth to begin an eternal reign, and not solely for a 1000 year (Millennium) reign, but forever!

A large segment of today’s Christian leaders have been promoting unproven theories and speculation that basically proclaim that the Church of God, or Born Again Christians, will be secretly snatched up to Heaven, anywhere from three and a half to seven years, before God pours out his wrath on those who failed to respond to his call for repentance from their sinful ways. They believe Christians will escape this so-called time (3 and a half to 7 years) of great tribulation, and before God pours out His wrath on non-believers, who will be Left Behind to suffer for not accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior. They call these theories the Rapture, or the Pre-Mid-Post, Pre-Wrath Tribulation escape to Heaven.

While a throng of educators, researchers and prophecy writers in the Christian community are promoting (and making big profits from) these Left Behind theories, two new books written by former radio and television broadcaster, Joe Ortiz, provide specific Bible evidence that a pre-tribulation escape to heaven is sheer folly, conjecture and inference, and has not been biblically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Several Bible expositors and eschatology writers, such as Dave MacPherson, Robert Gundrey, George Eldon Ladd and a few others have debated against these theories for over 35 years. Most recently, authors such as Steve Wohlberg, Ted Noel, Barbara Rossing, Stephen Sizer, Arnie Suntag and others have also arrived at the same conclusions. Like Ortiz, they have now come forward and are presenting strong Bible evidence that Left Behind theories have no scripture foundation whatsoever!.

In his books (which Ortiz basically completed in 1986, but has spent over 20 years years cross-referencing and cross-checking his evidence), he finally decided in 2004 to put the book out there for the public to examine. He gave it away for free through his web site on the Internet from 2004 until 2007, after which friends and colleagues advised him he should publish it right away. It was decided by Joe and friends that the original 800 page manuscript be published into two books, to make it easier to discern and digest the two major aspects of the original book: The first book challenges all the Rapture theories, and the second book reveals why Christians will suffer tribulation before Jesus Christ returns.

On 2007, Author House printed the two books, The End Times Passover and Why Christians Will Suffer Great Tribulation.  Ortiz, who has worked as a journalist and publicist for over 30 years, has undertaken the task of promoting the book himself after Author House launched the books initial promotion.

What made Ortiz' approach unique in writing these two books was his examination of the Bible by using an etymological analysis of key Bible passages to dramatically prove that modern day interpretations of the Bible have, in reality, been reversed by theorists to convey a different meaning than God intended. In addition to an exhaustive research in the Greek and Hebrew texts, Ortiz also examined scripture through a "figures of speech" analysis to get greater meaning and emphasis on key words in the Bible. For example, many pre-tribulation theorists use the scripture in Luke 17:34-37 to support their theory that Christians will be “taken” to Heaven and unbelievers will be “left” behind to suffer God’s wrath during the so-called Great Tribulation.

However, if you examine the definition of the word “taken,” you will notice that the Greek word is “paralambano,” which means “to seize and to bind,” whereas the word for “left” in the Greek is “aphiemi,” which means “to forgive (pass over, suffer, leave them alone, do not touch).” As a matter of fact, Ortiz points out that the word "behind" is not included after the word "left" in the original text in Luke 17:34-37. In essence, theorists’ interpretation of this scripture is truly a reversed and contradictory premise to their pet theories and, in reality, those verses harmonizes more so with the scriptures concerning the separating of the chaff from the wheat for burning when He returns.

This is one of over a hundred similar biblical word comparison study examples that The End Times Passover and Why Christians Will Suffer Great Tribulation contain that refute a pre-tribulation or Rapture escape to Heaven. These two new book include irrefutable and biblical proof that Christians will remain on Earth not only during the so-called “Great Tribulation,” but will also be on earth during the time God pours out His great wrath. Ortiz’ books, however, offer biblical proof that the Christian will be protected during God’s wrath-outpouring. God has provided an End Times Passover rescue program for His chosen people, just as he did when He rescued Israel from Egyptian bondage, Noah from the flood, Daniel from the lions den, and Meschaq, Chadrack and Abednego from the fiery furnace.

In Ortiz’ books, you will see biblical proof that refutes a Rapture to Heaven, including topics: Who Comprises the True Church of God? Is the Rapture a special event? Is the Church Really the Bride! Who is the True Bride of Christ? Who are the Guests at the Great Wedding? What is (and where) is the True Promised Land? What is New Jerusalem? What is The Holy City of God? Who Really Accompanies the Lord When He Returns? Do Christians Immediately Go To Heaven When They Die? Is the Holy Spirit Removed? The Apostasy of the Church! The Duality of God’s Miracles! What is True Temptation? When Does the Lord Really Return? Will Christians Go Through Tribulation? and Will (and can) Christians Lose Their Salvation? These topics and more are accurately and biblically detailed to unveil truths many great prophesy teachers and writers have missed…until now!

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, [ putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment] ; 5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6  if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) 9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment, (2 Peter 2:4-9, NIV)
