Julie Ann's first scrapbooking project was a mini-album (about her honeymoon in 2004). It was abandoned when she discovered that there were more desirable techniques than sticker-sneeze.  She has been inspired to do more sophisticated and artistic pages since her start. Today she barely sees a distinction between digital scrapping and traditional methods of scrapping as she creates.

When she received her Canon Digital RebelXT from her husband as a 2005 Christmas/Birthday/ Valentine's/ Groundhog Day/ Anniversary present, she formed an interest in Photoshop Elements and taking her scrapping to a different level with the computer.  After taking Renee Pearson's Doing It Digi course at Big Picture Scrapbooking this spring, she was off and running with her digital designs right into the pages of Scrapbook Trends and Creating Keepsakes. She participated in the Ultimate Digi Scrapper as well as Last Scrapper Standing contests.  She placed first place in the Creating Keepsakes Convention-Buffalo digital layout contest sponsored by Epson in July.

Julie Ann gets most excited about digital scrapbooking when
she discovers edgy designs and challenges such as The Dares and The DigiDares.  She has recently dug deep into her past bringing out more meaningful journaling and fine art techniques. Her writing background started 26 years ago, while her art education started 19 years ago.  Scrapbooking offers the perfect opportunity to blend her love of writing with her love for art, while getting the chance to play a vital role as family historian.  A milestone moment recently came to Julie Ann when she introduced to 2peas animated layouts during the Last Scrapper Standing contest.

JA, as she is known by her online friends, enjoys sharing her time and energy with others on the design teams for DieCuts with a View, ScrapbookerOnline.com, and most recently she did work for Scrapwear Designs by Tenika Technicolor Transparencies.  She currently holds the position of having the most online posts at SBO, and has met a handful of the members in real life becoming instant friends. She works behind-the-scenes for DCWV Founder Nancy Hill's QVC appearances as a project designer, and she provides Nancy with DVD's of her appearances for future reference. The idea for the Everyday Digital Scrapbooking Idea blog came to her because she wanted to give back to the online community after learning so much from other blogs such as The Effers, and Shimelle.com.

Julie Ann grew up in the mid-west suburbs of Cleveland, and Mansfield, Ohio as well as attending high school in a suburb of Detroit. She stayed in Michigan to attend Michigan State University. She has settled down in a beautiful lakeside area near Rochester, NY.  Her hope is to continue to make time to scrapbook her memories first and foremost above any loftier aspirations.
