Crock Pot Applesauce

From The Culinary Couple | Source Skinnytaste

Makes 8 servings.

  • 8 apples (I used a combination of Red Delicious and Golden Delicious)
  • 1 strip lemon peel
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 Tbsp light brown sugar

  1. Peel, core, and chop apples. Place them in a crock pot. Add lemon peel, lemon juice, cinnamon stick, and brown sugar.
  2. Set the crock pot to low and cook for about 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove cinnamon stick and lemon peel and blend, if desired. Or, if you prefer a chunkier sauce (which I do!), serve and enjoy.
