The Cottage

The Cottage is a delightful intimate villa situated on our five acre property and only five minutes drive from thriving Havelock North Village. It has all the special touches to make your stay perfect, from the luxury bed linens and very comfortable beds to the fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. There is a large swimming pool for summer days, a hot tub for relaxing and bikes for exploring.

Hawkes Bay

Hawkes Bay has the most amazing weather from the long balmy summer days to the crisp sunny days of winter. There is so much to do here and truly something for everyone - the vineyards, beautiful beaches, bike trails, nature walks, shopping, sight seeing or just relaxing.

The Cottage is located in Havelock North, 10 minutes from Hastings and 25 minutes from Napier. Woodford House and Iona are a short walk away if you are coming to visit your daughters for school events.

The space

We are down a long driveway, tucked away in an oasis of mature trees with a wide variety of beautiful native birds - all in the heart of Havelock North. The Cottage has dedicated parking and faces away from our house towards the pool area so it is quite private. 

You will be able to lie in the luxurious king sized sleigh bed surrounded in Egyptian cotton linen and look out at the tranquility of the pool. There is a lovely veranda (with a gas heater) for your morning coffee or an evening tipple of Hawke's Bay wines and craft beers. The kitchen is fully equipped if you are in the mood for self catering but we are more than happy to share the local secrets if you would prefer to eat at one of the award winning restaurants, wineries and cafes in the area. Teas and plunger coffee are provided.

The Hawke's Bay bike trails are extensive and we have bikes for you to use if you would like to see the sights on two wheels rather than four.

There are two TVs. Netflix and Freeview are available but there is no SKY TV.

The bathroom is complete with luxury toiletries, and sumptuous bathrobes.

We live on site and are very happy to assist with anything at all you might need. Whether you are visiting Havelock North for a special event, a romantic getaway or visiting friends and family we will do our very best to ensure you feel pampered and rejuvenated.

Guest access

Guests are free to explore the property, use the hot tub and swim in the pool (a bit chilly though in winter months). The property has plenty of spots to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We have games and books available, along with a giant chess board in the garden.

Interaction with guests

As we live next door we will be available if you need anything but your privacy and relaxation are important to us so we will not disturb you.

Other things to note

Though we have listed a washer and dryer these are not in the cottage itself but across in the main house - if you need any washing done just let us know. We will provide a basket.
