Attention Future Derby Players!
The ClarksVillain Roller Girls are actively recruiting humans of all shapes, sizes, ages, and walks of life.

Do you want to get into shape and take out a little bit of aggression all at the same time? Roller Derby is the sport for you! Roller Derby is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and The ClarksVillain Roller Girls want you to join us in our 2016 Bout Season!

Notice that we said "humans"? That's right, we have now opened our doors to MALES and JUNIOR skaters!

We also have tons of opportunities for those who would like to be part of the sport but don't want to get hit! We have open positions for referees, non-skating officials, photographers...any special skill or helping hand you may have to lend, we'll take it! And we're also willing to train.

Contact theclarksvillainrollergirls@gmail.com for more information about times, locations, and gear requirements!

We cannot wait to meet you!

The list of required items is as follows for Derby Girls:
    • Helmet
    • Mouth guard
    • Elbow Pads
    • Wrist Guards
    • Knee Pads
    • Quad Skates

All your pads are important, specially your knee pads, you will fall on your knees a lot in roller derby. Over time, if your pads are inadequate, you can really damage your knees.

Getting a Fresh Meat pad set online is fine, just make sure you measure yourself first and size it off the chart.

Your skates however are the one thing you should buy in person to ensure they are sized properly. They need to fit tightly. Having the wrong size can really damage your feet. You are looking for "quad speed skates" and be prepared to spend at least $100 on new skates.

Examples of of good Fresh Meat skates that aren't too expensive can be found at Riedell Skates and Sure-Grip

Locally, you can also find all the gear you need, plus a  10% discount for saying you're with the Villains, at Asphalt Beach in Nashville.
