Volunteer Opportunities

You can volunteer to assist the Historical Society! 

Here's some ideas of activities to best suit your skills and preferences and what you can do!

Care-taking: Includes general maintenance of buildings and grounds

Clerical : Includes general office work and assisting with publication of our quarterly newsletter, The Lantern.

Curatorial : Includes working in our archives and artifact storage to organize, accession, and preserve the collection.

Development : Includes assisting with the annual appeal, grant writing, and other fundraising activities.

Membership: Includes maintaining membership files, sending out renewal reminders and new-member packets, staffing the BHS Membership table at events.

Programs: Includes set-up and breakdown for BHS programs and events, distributing advertisements, staffing exhibits during open house hours, etc.
