Every body has a voice and it depends on the person within the body - how they listen and collaborate with their body, that determines how much comfort, grace and resiliency they are able to maintain during their day.

So the body speaks, and this demands a witness who is able to observe the body's language and intuit deeper levels of its expression.

My aim is to enable my clients to listen, feel and see ways to collaborate with their own well being.

"All my life I hated exercise until my first class with Colleen.  She is not only very well qualified, but she is creative, intuitive, and talented.  She has the rare ability to give gentle nudges - encouraging you to do more, but never too much and never to the point of pain.  My bone scan results moved from osteoporosis to an improved diagnosis of osteopenia after a couple of years in Colleen's classes."     Margaret Keith Clemson

"Last year I suffered two compression fractures in my spine. By gentle adaptations Colleen got me back on my feet using adapted exercises to incrementally strengthen my spine and the whole body to build up the injured areas. She gradually got me back to regular class work and I am now actually healthier and stronger than before my injury.

Through working with Colleen I now have a more balanced, more energetic and more coordinated body.
I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to work with Colleen. She is one of our special treasures.
Her charm, her earnestness, her compassionate approach have changed my life outlook.
She imbues you with her energetic and thorough knowledge of the body."     Janie Romero

"I attended Colleen's Pilates classes for over 2 years-- before she re-located in Colorado-- and it was an important and singular experience for me. With Colleen's guidance I came to relate to my body, its spine and its core, with respect and daily awareness. If you have the chance to join her classes: "DO it!"  Pilates with Colleen could very well change and enrich your life too!"     Dana Newmann

"Had I been studying acrobatics, the violin, or pilates with Colleen, the results would have been much the same. I would have been the best student I could be and would have profited beyond all expectations from her great teaching skills, from her custom tailoring of instruction to my needs and capabilities, and from the infectious energy that she always brought to her work. Thank you, Colleen, for the year and a half of classes that I always looked forward to and will continue to miss."     Bill Johnson

"It is always so informative to work with Colleen because of her keen awareness for how one part of the body effects other parts...it's as though she is helping me develop a personal owners manual!  Colleen is kind, gentle, good humored, positive, and fully present during training sessions.  Even though I am not what I consider to be athletic, I never feel intimidated or awkward as I try the positions and stretches she recommends.  I have continued to practice the routine she taught me and can feel a real difference in flexibility and ease of movement."     Katie Harlow

"I totally trust Colleen Mulvihill and her healing and body-worker skills, and she has more than earned that trust over almost 16 years. Whether in person working skillfully to support my body or at a distance, supporting me, my husband, and our two kitties, I’ve gone to Colleen over the years with intense pain, mysterious kitty ailments, sudden headaches and body aches right before an important presentation I was giving, and so much more. In every instance, Colleen treats me with love, respect, kindness, wisdom and skill.

I can always tell when she has worked on me because the relief is so immediate and clear. And it lasts! I feel incredibly lucky to have Colleen’s massive support for me and my family. And wow, am I glad I have her to help me to stay deeply healthy and full of life as I grow older."      Wendy Yellen

"When I turned 70 I started  Pilates with Colleen. I have Scoliosis and at the time had fairly severe back pain.
Working with Colleen was the answer for me. She has an amazing understanding of the physical and energetic body.
Now that I am 79 my body is relatively pain free and I know this would not be the case if I hadn't spent 7 to 8 years under her wonderful guidance and direction."      Percyne  Gardner

"I’m a 68 year old woman who has been fit, active and athletic my entire life. When I began working with Colleen about 10 years ago, she introduced me to a new way to look at fitness by placing an emphasis on my core strength. Before working with Colleen, I had mistakenly thought doing a few dozen sit-up’s a few times a week was all I needed for my core.

With Colleen’s help, through regular mat classes and occasional private sessions, I’ve been able, in my 60’s, to develop a stronger, more balanced and supple body that’s basically pain and injury free.  I’m overcoming lifelong compensating strategies of poor posture and inefficient movements that have made me prone to injury. Thanks to Colleen’s expertise, I’ve been able to continue engaging in and even improving at my favorite sports (biking, hiking, skiing, golf and badminton) as I’ve aged.

Colleen seamlessly integrates her background in gymnastics, professional dance and choreography, with an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, Gyrotonic, and Pilates. Her ability to draw from all these disciplines to create a completely unique exercise approach is a true gift. Added to that is her remarkable ability to do movement analysis. After watching you only briefly, Colleen can recommend just the right movement, weight shift or exercise(s) to improve or correct movement problems and prevent injuries.

Another strength, probably most important to a new, injured or senior student, is her ability to attend to the specific needs of each individual. This approach means that each class member is able to achieve real advances in strength and fitness, while assuring they will not aggravate an old injury or do more than they should. I’ve often felt that even in large classes, Colleen is able to create an experience that one would only expect in a private session.

My positive assessment of Colleen is across the board. Besides her technical knowledge and teaching abilities, she is upbeat, friendly, very patient, and “hands–on”. She makes her classes enjoyable as well as highly effective.

I recommend her without reservation."      Sue Johnson

"Working with Colleen, I have developed core strength which lessens the pain of scoliosis. She is able to adjust the intensity of sessions to meet my needs as a person with Lyme disease. In a few sessions, she helped my injured rotator cuff to begin healing!"     Yvonne Bond
