Mamma's Marmalade at The Blue Moon Coffeehouse This Saturday Night

·
The Blue Moon Coffeehouse in Rockland is back this coming Saturday, October 13th, with a show featuring the wonderful Mamma's Marmalade. Mamma's Marmalade is a Northampton MA-based, newgrass band. Their fresh take on traditional American music transforms the conventional bluegrass experience into a raucus barnyard party that refuses to let you sit. Since their formation in 2014, the five piece string band has been fusing diverse musical backgrounds into a sound that bursts at the seams with energy, exuding a pure joy for creating music. Mamma’s honest lyrics and warm, acoustic tones invite listeners back to a time when wooden instruments and sweet vocal harmonies captivated the hearts of America. Experimenting with intricate instrumentals and lively covers, their music brings the genre to new and unexpected places.Tickets are $10 at the door. The show starts at 7:30. The address is 45 Webster Street in Rockland, MA, just beside the post office. We've missed you all and hope to see you there!

Open Mic Information

We love the open mic!   It's a great place to hear some new talent and to enjoy a variety of musical styles and approaches.  The open mic takes place between the bands two sets.  We usually have 10 slots available, 5 before the midway break/raffle and 5 after.   If the open mic fills (all ten slots are full or nearly so), we have each performer do one song.  If the open mic is "light," performers can do two.  If you want to perform, just put your name on the sign up sheet at the entryway table.
