Our Mission

The Belmont Food Pantry Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose resources are available to Belmont residents. One must show proof of Belmont residency to use the pantry. We have been open since 1992 on a weekly basis with no operating or overhead charges.


Over the years, we have received grant money from Project Bread, support from the Belmont Citizen’s annual Holiday Gift Drive, food from the New England Food Foundation and the yearly Post Office Letter Carriers,

 Belmont Serves 

Food Drive and Chenery Middle School Food Drive. We remain solely dependent on the Town’s organizations, worship houses, schools and individuals for food and monetary donations.

 

Donation suggestions: 

HOUSEHOLD: Shampoo, toothpaste and  toothbrushes, Soap (bar, and liquid), sanitary napkins, razors and shaving cream, household cleaners (spray bottles and wipes).

FOOD:  Coffee and Tea, Canned Chili with meat and Stews, Canned Soups, Canned Beets, Corn and Mixed Vegetables, Mushrooms, Cooking Oil, Tuna Fish, Canned Fruit, Rice, Jelly.


The Belmont Food Pantry Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

CONTINUED IMPORTANT UPDATES

The Belmont Food Pantry continues to be OPEN on a limited basis the
1st & 3rd Saturdays from 8:30–9:30 am
for Belmont residents to receive food or to drop off donations.
The pantry is NOT open on any other days. Next openings are:

SATURDAY, JUNE 5TH
SATURDAY, JUNE 19TH
SATURDAY, JULY 10TH

Donations are only accepted on the above dates –
DO NOT LEAVE FOOD DONATIONS AT THE TOWN HALL DOOR!!

 The distribution is a drive-thru for receiving and donating with everyone remaining in their car, pulling up to the volunteer to check in and another volunteer will put the bag(s), per family, into the car. Walkers PLEASE keep a distance from each other and our volunteers WILL COME to you. 

First time using the Belmont Food Pantry?  Belmont residents wishing to use the Belmont Food Pantry are required to fill out an registration form and read the guidelines.   Go to the New Client Forms page for the forms and information.


The Belmont Food Pantry is located in the Belmont Town Hall, 455 Concord Avenue (across from the Police Station) to distribute food to Belmont residents.
