The Belmont Food Pantry Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose resources are available to Belmont residents. One must show proof of Belmont residency to use the pantry. We have been open since 1992 on a weekly basis with no operating or overhead charges.
Over the years, we have received grant money from Project Bread, support from the Belmont Citizen’s annual Holiday Gift Drive, food from the New England Food Foundation and the yearly Post Office Letter Carriers
and Belmont Serves
Food Drive. We remain solely dependent on the Town’s organizations, worship houses, schools and individuals for food and monetary donations.
The Belmont Food Pantry Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The Belmont Food Pantry Needs Your Help To Move On Saturday, July 30 @ 8AM!
As we work out all of the logistics regarding a permanent site for the food pantry we have procured a temporary site to move to on July 30th. Paul Tocci, from the Belmont Car Wash, has generously offered a very large garage space, at 1010 Pleasant Street, that we can use. There is a parking lot but it is also right next to the Star Market parking lot where volunteers can park. We will be able to open for business on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays and the 4th Sunday.
During the month of July the Food Pantry will be open to tour/visit beginning a half hour before it's regular hours listed below.
Belmont Food Pantry Hours
1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
4th Sunday of each month from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
The food pantry is open during the above hours for residents to receive food assistance, but also for anyone who wishes to drop off donations. Volunteers are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before the pantry opens. Also, please note that residents may use the pantry twice a month.
