Sew Special Network
That Place on Market is an innovative, out of the ordinary place for people come together to share talents, learn, exchange ideas and/or help others in our community. There are many sides to this non-profit volunteer organization. It has a workspace for sewing, all kinds of needle arts and crafts, a craft related resource library for public use and a cozy social center where friends can gather. While most of what is made here is donated to charities (Hospice, Linus Program, Salvation Army and others), there is also a small retail shop. Shopping at That Place on Market is a crafter's delight. Lots of fabric, yarn, crafts supplies and lovingly handmade items (all crafted by our talented volunteer staff) great for gift giving any time of the year. Proceeds from our retail shop help fund the many civic and charitable activities we do each year.
Besides being active at the center, folks can also help by donating unused sewing and craft supplies, fabric, yarn and craft related publications. Donations of books and publications already have helped create one of the most extensive crafting resource libraries for miles around. All donations are tax deductable
Over the years we have collected many vintage books, patterns, publications and craft related items. We are in the process of putting these items on sale through this web site....be sure to watch this website often for additional offerings. .
