Thailand Flood Releif

As the flooding began in July and still carries on, various regions from northern to central parts of Thailand has been submerged under water. Since July, there have been more than 33 million victims of the flood; some lost their loved ones; some lost their homes; and many lost their belongings. Many of the victims have to evacuate to safety shelters and still live there as the water level is still rising.

As an emergency service to help the victims go through the worst flooding in the last 50 years, Thai students at University of Missouri gather to establish a “Thailand Flood Relief” campaign to receive donations from people around the campus. The donation boxes have been placed in some restaurants and coffee shops around the campus such as Chim’s Thai Kitchen, Lakota, Main Squeeze and Bubblecup. All donations will provide basic needs such as food, medicine, and shelters for the flood victims.
