TGA Winter Rules 2016

1) Players must observe all TGA summer rules, with the exception of the following:

2) A player may improve his lie one club length no closer to the hole, if his ball is within the tree line of the hole being played. (THE TREE LINE IS DETERMINED BY A LINE WHICH FALLS ON THE FAIRWAY SIDE OF THE TWO TREES BETWEEN THE PLAYERS BALL).

Tree line

The tree line on every hole refers to wooded areas of the course. Individual trees or small groups of trees throughout the course are not a reference point to determine tree line. Examples of this point, Trees by driving range fence #1 red, tree in right rough #8 red, or tree right rough #1 white, uses the same logic if unsure of what constitutes tree line on other parts of the course. In addition trees on the hole side of the cart path of any hole are not consider as part of the tree line. Players receive one club relief when their ball lies inside the tree line on the hole being played.

3) The lie of a ball which is in any sand trap of the hole being played may be improve to one foot from where it lied but no closer to the hole.

4) All summer rules which govern water hazard remain in affect.

5) A player may not build a tee when improving his lie.

6) If a player hit his ball within the tree line of the hole being played and the ball cannot be found the player may drop a ball with out penalty.

7) If a player ball is hit into the woods and lost the player may play a new ball from where the lost ball entered the woods with a one shot penalty.

8) All putts must be holed.

9) Play leaves in sand traps as ground under repair.
