EnglishPond.com covers vast areas of ESL/EFL learning and teaching. The materials include, among others, Printable Worksheets, Self-grading flash quizzes and Exercises, Video Lessons, E-books Powerpoint lessons, and more. These resources cover areas like Communication (English Expressions), Pronunciation, Vocabulary Themes, Grammar, Online Listening Exercises, Idioms, Phrasal verbs, Business English, Kids Materials, Prefixes/Suffixes, Lessons Plans, and many more for English teachers and students.
The web site is very user friendly and easy to navigate. On the main page, it categorizes the six areas the website will focus on: Vocabulary, Grammar, Speaking, Listening, Business, and Site Search. I would recommend this website to both ESL/EFL students and teachers because each area that is covered contains many exercises and games. Students can learn English and have fun at the same time. Teachers can adapt many exercises and games for their classroom. I personally enjoyed some of the games, such as “Brian Training Games-Memory Attention.” In addition, it can also be used for self-study or interactive learning, and covers material from beginning level ESL students to advanced level. You can find commonly used English expressions for daily communication and dialogue, or materials that help in teaching and memorization of standard English pronunciation. There are many ways to teach and learn English; however, if English is taught in a fun, inactive and challenging environment, I believe students will be motivated and stimulated to achieve their goals faster.
