Brief Biography
Chia-Hsin Chan was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1985. He received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D degrees in computer science from National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2007, 2009, 2018 respectively. He currently works as software engineer in Institute for Information Industry (III) at Taipei, Taiwan.
    In 2009, he stands for NCTU to participate in the ISO/IEC MPEG & ITU-T VCEG joint Call-for-Proposals competition on High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard. His research interests includes video compression especially on the encoder optimization for HEVC, and nighttime surveillance video processing.
    Mr. Chan was a recipient of the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo Best Demo Award in 2013.
曾在2010年代表交大參加MPEG及ITU-T共同舉行之H.265/HEVC標準制定Call for Proposals競賽,並發表論文得到IEEE ICME 2013 Best Demo Award。
