Food for the High Holy Days

Hi, everyone! We're excited to celebrate the High Holy Days with you! I have a few food-related announcements that I'll consolidate here.

Rosh Hashanah
We'll have a potluck dessert oneg after Erev Rosh Hashanah services. 

Feed the Rabbi
Anyone is welcome, nay encouraged, to host Rabbi Debbie for a meal while she's here. Contact me to get the latest on the schedule. Right now, most lunches are open, as are dinners on October 3, 6, 8, 10, and 11. It's a fun way to get to know the rabbi! 

Break-fast
The Temple will provide bagels and fish from Petersen's (and we'll have a little donation box to help off-set the costs), but I'm sure we'll all be hungry, so we can use lots of cold dishes! Debbie (dkgershe (at) gmail (dot) com) will be the point person. Do let her know what you're planning to bring so that we can make sure we get our bases covered. We'll need salads, desserts, fruit, eggs, or other post-fasting delights.

We'll also have a pot-luck for our Friday Shabbat services; if you want to let me know what you're bringing, great; we seem to be doing well with true pot luck, though.

Yum! We've got a tasty couple of weeks ahead of us -- as well as lots of catching up, prayer and contemplation, of course.
