9/10 Community Service Day and Celebration of Community

The following events may be of interest to you, as members of our Temple Jacob community:

What: God’s Work Our Hands community service day

When: Saturday, September 10

Who: People with a religious affiliation (church, synagogue, mosque) + Student Organizations +International groups

Work projects: Habitat for Humanity house in South Range, water sealing the new boardwalk in downtown Hancock, wood splitting for Little Brothers, and Houghton Beautification Project (gardening)!!!


God’s Work Our Hands will be followed with a Celebration of Community / Face to Face potluck and cookout at Hancock Beach beginning at 5 pm.  (Hancock Canal Road, or M203 just on the edge of town)  All are invited, whether or not you participated in any work projects or not.  People of the Copper Country offer a spirit of hospitality and welcome to ALL people!

Why: We create community by BEING community!
