Voice of Peace

This is the 2nd Sunday of “The Voices of Christmas.”  This Sunday we actually, jump ahead to after Jesus’ birth and focus on the words of Simeon, (The Voice of Peace).    To familiarize yourselves with the story of Simeon, take time to read the following scripture:

Advent/Christmas Worship Begins

This Sunday marks the beginning of Advent – the time when we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ as well as His 2nd coming. This year’s worship theme for Advent & Christmas is “The Voices of Christmas.” Everyone is welcome to come and hear a relevant word for our day from the characters who anticipated and witnessed the birth of Jesus.

Sunday at Tedrow

Fall Mission Meal Sunday

This Sunday at Tedrow is Fall Mission Meal Sunday.  We’ll begin with worship and have regular Sunday School, then you are invited to stay for a noon meal (Haystacks) and after the meal, we’ll hear from Sister Ellen Lamberjack, who works with Project Hope serving the needs of local immigrants in obtaining citizenship.  There will be a freewill offering taken.


Here is the theme for Sunday’s worship:


Scripture:  Romans 8:28-39

Message:  God is for Us!

New Sermon Series & Gideon Sunday

Sunday will mark the beginning of a new sermon series called "Encouraging Words for the Journey."  Come, hear, and receive God's encouraging words of hope that we need in this day and time, as we journey life together.   

Brother Jim Barber will be with us to share a moment in mission on the work of the Gideon's.  There will be opportunity for you to share a monetary gift that will go to distribute Bibles around the world.

You will not want to miss Sunday morning at Tedrow Mennonite!  Here is what is planned:


·         Hymn Sing will begin our time of worship

·         Dan Sauder will be preaching on Jeremiah 29:11-14  “There is a lot to be excited about”

·         It’s World Communion Sunday, we will celebrate communion and serve each other in the act of foot/hand washing

·         There’ll be a commissioning service

·         We’ll gather in discipleship classes to dig deeper into God’s Word together

Covenant Players at Tedrow Mennonite

Come and experience the Biblical themes brought to life through drama and music. A 3-person drama/music group from the Covenant Players (http://covenantplayers.org/) will be at Tedrow Mennonite on Sunday to help us consider the importance of, as well as, the challenges and blessings of transition.
