Coding & Robotics

Through learning coding and robotics, we will prepare students for the jobs of the future and develop their skills in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and innovation (Qld Government, #coding counts, 2016).

Coding as a literacy

The 2016 New Horizon report predicted Coding as a literacy would be adoption in K-12 education within one to two years and advised that Tasmania introduced HTML and CSS coding to the primary school curriculum in 2015 (New Horizon Report, 2016, p. 16).

The Australian Government has introduced mandatory reporting for the new ICT curriculum for all Australian schools commencing in 2018.
