Ms. Pal Choudhury has graduated in Economics from The University of Calcutta & did her Masters in Economics (specializing in International trade & business) from Rabindra Bharati University. She did her Masters in Business Administration in Finance & Marketing from Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISW&BM), under The University of Calcutta. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral degree (in business management) in the marketing area from Department of Business Management, The University of Calcutta.
Her research interests include implementation of marketing strategies for successful business using advanced statistical tools. Different parts of her research findings have been presented in national & international seminars & conferences. She has published some of her research works in national & international journals & conference proceedings & has contributed few papers in edited books. She also has research experiences based on official statistics, questionnaire framing, primary survey design, data collection & data analysis and interpretation.
A quick- learner, motivator & adaptable by nature, her teaching career now spans more than one & half decade. Her main areas of teaching are: Derivatives and Risk Management, Project Appraisal & Finance, International Finance, Corporate Finance, Modelling Techniques, Statistics for Analysts & Managerial Economics for MBA students.
She attended a 5-day workshop on "SOFT SKILLS" at Infosys, Bhubaneswar in 2009.
Recently she has attended a 5-day workshop on "NBA ACCREDITATION".
Apart from taking classes, she is grossly involved in continuous grooming process of MBA students so that students can come over all the hurdles of corporate world. Along with this, she is involved in organizing seminars, workshops and in the overall development process of the department.
She is the Co-convenor of the College Cultural committee because she firmly believes that perfect education happens when there is all round development.
