Cricket

The Cricket Development programme has been established to enable College students to develop their cricketing skills & techniques during three coaching & match sessions each week.

These sessions take place indoors during winter & include an evening game each week. These league games, in the strongest competition in the area, are against open-aged men’s teams. The summer term sees the Cricket squad compete in a range of formats of the game with twenty20 cricket being high on the agenda.

The College has forged strong links with Birmingham League Clubs Stourbridge C.C. & Smethwick C.C. providing exit routes for players as well as use of top class facilities.

The Cricket Coach Dave Banks is a former professional first class County player; accredited as an ECB Level 3 Coach and is also the U17 Worcester County Coach.  Since 2012 three Dudley College students have gone on to play for the County side.
