About Ms. Meltzer

Ms. Meltzer's, or Ms. M's, theatrical story begins at the Growing Stage Theatre in Netcong, New Jersey. This is where she took her very first acting class at the age of 8 and was cast in her very first play as Flopsy in "Peter Rabbit and Friends." She performed in numerous productions there until the age of 12 when she moved to Kansas. 

Ms. Meltzer attended Grandview High School of the Cherry Creek School District in Aurora, Colorado. She graduated a proud Grandview Wolf in 2008, while having participated in cheer, theatre and several other extra curricular activities. She was also a member of Grandview's Thespian Troupe. At Grandview Ms. M had the 2 theatre teachers, Dr. Pearl and Ms. Justsis, and they are the ones who inspired Ms. M to pursue a career as a high school drama teacher.

In the summer of 2015 Ms. Meltzer became the proud drama and theatre arts teacher of Central High School located in Grand Junction, Colorado. Ms. M is new to Grand Junction, and has absolutely loved living on the Western Slope of Colorado. This upcoming school year will mark Ms. Meltzer's second year at Central High School, Where Warriors are Made . .

Having previously lived in Connecticut, New Jersey and Kansas, Ms. Meltzer is a semi-native of Colorado. Living in the Centennial State of Colorado is something Ms. M loves as it gives her a chance to enjoy the outdoors. She enjoys camping, hiking, and walking her beloved dogs Frank and Beans. 

In 2008, Ms. Meltzer moved to Greeley, Colorado where she attended the University of Northern Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Education in 2012. While at UNC, Ms. M joined the sorority of Alpha Omicron Pi while also serving on the Panhellenic Counicil at UNC. Ms. M remains a 
proud graduate and supporter of her beloved UNC Bears! 

Ms. Meltzer's family is incredibly important to her. She always loves when they get the chance to come visit in Grand Junction. Ms.M's mom Debbie and future step-dad Scott who reside in Aurora, have seen all of Ms.M's productions at Central. Ms. M's dad, Don, and step mom, Katie, thoroughly enjoyed when they made the trip all the way from Georgia to see "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown!" Ms.M also has a sister, Leslie, sister-in-law, Iris, brother, Phil, and sister-in-law, Tina. These siblings gave her the amazing role of Auntie Amanda to 2 nieces, Robin and Olivia, and 2 nephews, Joseph and Eliott. Ms. M also loves her role as mom to her 2 fur babies, Frank and Beans.
