While Thibault pursues a professional career as a researcher* in the field of nano-sciences, music and drumming have always been a passion. He is motivated by meeting new people who challenge him out of comfort zones, both in jams and on record. He is currently aiming at meeting a wider professional network to enable new possibilities and unique projects.
His musical exploration started in 2000 with drumming in jazz improvisations, hard-rock and funk bands at the university. In 2004, he joined the French hip-hop/rock band Team Partout with which he contributed to drumming and to producing of 19 tracks, including the released album “La Classe Américaine” [1]. In 2008, he co-founded the band TCF (pop/rock/electro) with whom he co-authored a 9-tracks EP “Top 10 Electro friends” [2]. In 2010, he worked at deepening his understanding of the groove under the guidance of the French drummer Luc Heller in Salon de Provence. Since 2014, he has attended jazz workshops of the Global Music Foundation (London & Barcelona, mentored by latin/jazz drummer Francesco Petreni) and of the Czech Jazz Society. Established in Prague since 2014, he recently founded a jazz band and is working on a 6 track EP of compositions with the pop/folk band “Mommy Issues” [3].
Since 2023, he has played more than 40 concerts. His band "Team Partout" was recently selected by the public as best national performer of the “Emergenza” festival (Paris). In July 2024, he was also auditioned as drummer for the Tour Music Festival (TMF, Italy) and got a mark of 94/100 on his performance.
*: That means I am less available in September, March and June each year. Don't blame / fire me for that. Thanks.
