Joah is a recent graduate of the Clinical Psychology Doctoral program. His clinical and research interests span topics related to the psychosocial and health consequences of traumatic stress. Joah has collaborated on several projects including a health and readjustment study for recently deployed Iraq (OIF) and Afghanistan (OEF) Veterans and a study of homicide bereavement in the Memphis community. His doctoral dissertation explored relations between post-concussive symptoms, posttraumatic stress disorder, and medical disease burden in a sample of OIF and OEF Veterans seeking VA health care. Joah Williams received a National Institute of Mental Health funded T-32 postdoctoral fellowship in traumatic stress research at the Medical University of South Carolina's National Crime Victims Center.
