Project STRIVE II - The purpose of this study is to collect information on health-related behaviors and psychological symptoms among returning combat veterans. Through this research we hope to better understand the experiences of veterans returning from combat deployments. It involves meeting with one of our staff for two, 2-hour sessions in which we want to learn more about your experiences through interviews and questionnaires. For the study, we compensate Veterans up to $50 for their time for participating.
Project VALOR II - This research project is designed to develop a psychological treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD – A common anxiety disorder that develops after exposure to a terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical hard occurred or was threatened) and alcohol abuse. We are trying to find the best way to help veterans who are returning from hazardous deployments deal with symptoms of PTSD and alcohol abuse.
