Expanding Mindsets, Transforming Practices: June 7th Chancellor's Day

From October to June, six Inquiry to Action Teams meet once per month at Teachers College with a member of TCICP to focus on building instructional practices in their schools around Assistive Technologies, Multilevel Dynamic Assessments, Multimodal Projects, Positive Student Behaviors, UDL- Accommodations, Modifications, & Peer Supports, and Working With Families.  Last year's Chancellor's Day conference was a huge success, culminating in the creation of the InclusiveClassroomsProject.org website.  This year's conference will continue to build upon that achievement. Follow this link to register!

"Scotland's Inclusive Practices Project: presernted by Lani Florian

Thursday, October 13
Please join TCICP Thursday, October 13th, at 4:30PM in 281 Grace Dodge Hall for a presentation and discussion with Lani Florian, Professor of Social and Educational Inclusion at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.  She has written extensively on Inclusive Education and has consulted on special needs education and inclusion internationally.

 

Mindfulness & Yoga for Teachers

On Saturday, September 10, TCICP held a session on Mindfulness & Yoga for Teachers.  Therese Scott, a fantastic yoga teacher from California who specializes in yoga and education, led everyone on their journey to become centered as they return to the classroom.  This was not a "yoga for classrooms" session, but a chance for TCICP to support you during the stressful beginning of another school year. 

Expanding Mindsets, Transforming Practices: A Conference by Teachers for Teachers

The culminating work of a year's worth of inquiry, TC Inclusive Classrooms Spotlight Inquiry-to Action teams presented their work to fellow educators from across New York City in a day long conference comprised of 20 sessions.  Topics ranged from developing culturally responsive pedagogies in the classroom to using technology to support literacy acquisition.
