About Travis County 4-H Shooting Sports

Travis County 4-H Shooting Sports is a part of the National 4-H Youth Development Program.  The Texas 4-H program is run through the AgriLIFE EXTENSION office, part of the Texas A&M System.

In Texas, 4-H clubs are organized by counties.  Local programs are managed by County Extension Agents, local Club Managers, and Leaders.

Our club meets on the first Tuesday of each month.   All club members, their parents, and club leaders meet to plan club activities.  If you are interested in getting more information on our club, we recommend you attend one of these meetings.

Club events consist of monthly practices, competitions at other county 4-H clubs, and our own annual event,  "March Madness".    Additionally, we attend the largest annual 4-H shooting event, "State Games" in San Antonio and Callahan County, where 4-H shooters from all across the state come together to compete.
