Decadent's our base 10 system,
1-2-3-4-5, 6-7-8-9.
And there's zero, well, we've missed him,
1-2-3-4-5, 6-7-8-9.
If you hate how decimals linger,
1-2-3, 4-5-6, 7-8-9.
Picture math with one less finger,
1-2-3-4-5, 6-7-8-9.

See computer hexadecimal,
A-B-C-D-E, F is fifteen.
Power of two makes it optimal,
A-B-C-D-E, F is fifteen.
If you have a bit of doubt,
A-B-C, D-E-F, is fifteen.
Binary's another route,
A-B-C-D-E, F is fifteen.

Faster ways use modulo math,
Zero 1 and 2, Zero-1-2.
Use a prime, it's the best path,
Zero 1 and 2, Zero-1-2.
Fermat's Little Theorem's useful,
Zero-1, Zero-1, Zero-1.
All your counting's now so fruitful,
Zero-1-2-3, for you and me.
