There's lots of math out there which gets you out of scrapes

To find the faces, Euler's formula we'll fit

A vertex count is needed so you can't do it outright.

To find the faces consists of:

Add in each edge, that you see, and the answer's what the faces must be
Yes add each edge, that you see, don't miss any when you are in 3-D

Add in each edge, that you see; V as 4 means face count's one more than three...
Add every edge you see!
