Lyn finished off her milk. "That was pretty good... tell you what, I'll mention this place to my family members. The other polynomials are of drinking age."

Maud began to wipe down the bar again. "Oh yes? Does it bother you being the youngest?"

Lyn shook her head. "Not really. I mean, I'm hardly neglected, I can relate better to people who study me in high school..." She run a hand back through her short blonde hair, then glanced down at her body. "Granted, there are days I wouldn't mind a curve or two..."

"I think you look fine just the way you are," Maud assured her.

Lyn looked back up and smiled. "Thanks. You look..." She paused, and peered again over her glasses. "Well, it's hard to tell, honestly. Why the muffler and sunglasses, exactly?"

Maud grinned. "I'm going for the enigmatic angle. In other words, if you return later, you might find out more."

Lyn crossed her arms. "Seems more like an obtuse angle."

"A cute way of putting it," Maud responded. Lyn found she could only sigh and rest her forehead against the palm of her hand. "Right, sorry," the bartender continued.  "Reflex."
