Lyn quickly brought Tangent up to speed, even as the three girls dashed for Origin Central's main building, Expona's diversion having been successful in drawing off Exsecant. They hurried through the double doors at the front, then moved around to close them again from behind.
"Unless they were counting on you showing up and were waiting for that," Circe pointed out. "Once we hit the meeting hall, you'd better not say anything. Place might be bugged, or the explosives might activate on your voice." Tangent's eyes went wide.
"What in blazes is going on here?"
The three girls turned to regard the man who had spoken. From his blue theta shirt, Lyn decided he had to be one of the inverses, and with his hair arcing somewhat perpendicular to Tangent's, he was probably Arctan.
"Nat!" Tangent said in delight. "We've come to warn... wait, where's everyone else?"
"Tangent?" Nat said, eyebrows lifting. "Why, they're still in the main hall, discussing you. Here, I'll go tell them you've arri--"
"NO!" the three equations chorused together.
Nat froze mid-step. "Okay, hope there's an explanation coming," he said gruffly. "I'm a doctor, not a mind reader."
