Lyn and Circe proceeded into the Angle Zone, crossing past the 'Deadly Dessert' shop at the border. They quickly encountered a number of variations on Sine, Cosine, and even Tangent, all of whom waved happily back at them. Lyn waved back; Circe just ignored them. After a time, Lyn stopped waving too, as her arm started hurting.

Following a couple hours of what seemed to Lyn to be aimless walking, she realized something. "I've figured out their transformations," Lyn said to Circe in delight. "Instead of a watch for their leading coefficient, Trig wear a necklace. And, like the bow in my hair, they've got flowers to display their trailing value!"

"Yes, well, try not to think too much about it," the circle countered. "Or you'll start wondering why the phase shift tags on their jeans don't create more twins."

Lyn was left to ponder that for a time. Finally she spoke again. "Are you sure you know where you're going? It's been hours, why haven't we asked anyone for directions?"

"I told you, Trig are indecisive," Circle shot back. "They'd answer by crowing 'This way is a very nice way... but it's pleasant down that way too... so some people do go both ways!'. We'd never get anywhere."

Lyn frowned and shook her head. "That sounds like a straw man argument to me."
