Author Notes:

So here we are - at the six month mark, with what would be strip fifty if I weren't taking this opportunity to remark on a few things. (50 is a rather arbitrary base ten convention anyway... 49 is a perfect square!) First, thanks to anyone reading out there! Despite what my flag counter might imply, visits to the site have been on a general decline since October, and I'm lucky if I get five hits on a publishing day... which includes me and my wife. Sometimes I've considered giving it up, but I'm having fun and there's still so much potential in story arcs.

Secondly, my reason for doing this isn't only self-entertainment. I'm hoping others derive some enjoyment - and some education. The latter is partly why I added a link per day into the narrative, which I try to vary up so that it's not always a wiki. But I have no idea if others are bothering with them. So, if there are particular links you've liked - or disliked - or characters you would like to see more of - or less of - or if you have some thoughts on where the plot is going - or might go - let me know! I do try to have pieces of foreshadowing and unexpected twists, and it would be nice to know if I'm too predictable. Notably, there are two future elements in the above 2012 banner...

Thirdly, with regard to the storyline, we'll be wrapping up Series 2 in February and moving on to Series 3, which I've now finally begun to work on in earnest. (From high school midterms until the holiday break, I literally coasted through on prior work and sketches.) That said, I've had more song parodies running through my head while the story was stalled. So in the next while, expect to see some Special Mathematical Variations on songs by Carly Rae Jepsen, Avril Lavigne, and Katy Perry.

Finally, regarding the formatting of the site, I'm open to advice there too. I began things this way (posts on google sites) because that's what was immediately available to me in July 2011, and I didn't want to get so caught up in web details that nothing ever got out there at all. Does anyone know of a better setup out there? (I've also wondered if the inability to leave comments outside the feedback page is a hinderance?) I have done some scouting, but also have a certain amount of inertia.

Anyway. Six months without missing any updates! And I was moving during that time! (Perhaps that's some of it too, buying a house tends to be the topic of conversation with people, more than this lil' webcomic I've got.) That said, I will be taking a couple trips this coming year, meaning the potential for interruptions - since I don't know of a way to time delay postings. But we'll see where we're at when we hit the end of the first year. Thanks again for reading!
