"No way!" Reci said, stepping forwards. "Lyn, it's too dangerous, the Conics will spot you a mile away!"

The young blonde grimaced. "Not if I go standard."

The other polynomials exchanged a glance. "Hey, that could work," Cubi realized.

"GO standard?" Maud protested. "Isn't standard form the default?"

QT shook her head. "Y equals is the default," she clarified. "Which means standard for all of us except Lyn, where it means slope-intercept."

"Her standard is Ax+By=C," Root agreed, crossing his arms. "English isn't always consistent in math..."

"It has to be my standard," Lyn countered, taking a deep breath. "To account for a case like this." She tapped at her watch then thrust her arm out to the side. "Linear, transforming!" Then suddenly, she rotated her arm ninety degrees up into the air. "Standard form! Full vertical version!!"

"I'm undefined," Slope murmured, beside her.

Lyn spun about. Among other things, the new form changed her overalls into a pair of shorts having the appearance of a skirt, removed her bow, and gave the ends of her hair a blue tinge. It also made her stand a little straighter.
