White Mint Frosting

Frosts 13x9 inch cake

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cost: $1.30

(sugar: .75, butter: .50, milk: .03, other: .02)

 

1 lb powdered sugar (I was generous, so mine might have been a bit more than that)

1/2 C (1 stick) butter

4-6 Tbsp whole milk (a lower fat milk will work too as will full on cream)

1/4 tsp mint extract

a few drops green food coloring if white mint isn't your thing

 

Melt or significantly soften the butter. Add the powdered sugar and beat with mixer. Add milk, starting with 4 Tbsp and adding the other 2 Tbsp if necessary. Add the mint extract and food coloring if using.
