Highlights 2112



We would like to take a moment to Thank all clients and supporters for an great second year of operation.  Early on, we developed TBQ Pizzas, bringing customers exciting new gourmet tastes. Inspired by Costa Rica, people raved over our Shrimp and Lobster Pizzas. We also returned from New Orleans with a new well recieved recipe for Jumbalaya Pizzas.

Summer visits to the Orange County Fair and the OC BBQ Bonanza served to confirm that Tastee BQ dishes out some of the best barbeque to be found. Also these carnival visits were conducive in helping us create our new Flavor Bar. Popular at kids parties, they can choose to season Popcorn or Grilled Potato Chips with fun flavors including Cinnamon, Cheese, Garlic Herb (ok more for the adults) and of course our original TBQ Rub. This inspired a well received spread at a kids' County Fair themed party.


In between summer barbeques, we had a great Mid-Summer visit to Paris, France just time for the Bastille Day Festivities. There we took every oppourtunity to taste anything grilled on the menus of some of the city's favorite restaurants. We also took culinary tours, including one to the Belly of Paris historic food district. Along the way we met the owners of France's only American Barbeque restaurant. In the Fall, we were honor to supply the party for the new Fellows at Children's Hospital  Los Angeles. The menu included some dishes infleunce by Paris, including French style Green Beans with Grilled Vegetables and a Scalloped Red Potato Casserole.  It was also fun to help them locate the perfect cake to end the party with.

Early October took us across the pond again to merry old England. We were very impressed with the variety of gourmet Barbeque Restaurants  to be found on London's West End. For more details see our international page on London.

Around Halloween we were able to scare up a cookout for over a hundred future leaders at the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank. They got to choose their favorite seasonings from our Flavor Bar for their Grilled Potato Chips, as well as grilled onions and other condiments for their grilled Hot Dogs. Smoked BQ Chicken in a special Cinnamon Barbeque Sauce disappeared rather quickly. If there is any talk of all-you-can-eat Smac 'N Cheese, you didn't hear it from us.

For the Holidays, we were able to supply Smoked Turkeys and Hams for many appreciative Party Guests. We also released some new 
recipes in the article "LAST MINUTE HOLIDAY ENTERTAINING-  4 EASY GRILLING IDEAS". December was also highlighted by us doing a food demonstrations while catering the Best Of Hairroin Salon Holiday Party. Demonstrations included Smoked Nuts, Grilled Caesar Salad and Pita Pizzas.
