Can We Help You ? (TARNS is available to anyone living in Tilford or Rushmoor.)
Our Volunteers are available to help local residents in times of need.
The scheme aims to provide practical help to those in need 7 days a week
We will try to link those with a little time to spare with those who need and ask for help.
We aim to fill the gaps left by existing services and not to replace them.
Our volunteers are men and women of all ages and abilities who give their time freely but at times of their own choosing.
We are supported by Surrey Community Action but financed by donations.
What help is Available?
Transport to Hospital and Doctors appointments, Shops, Post Office etc.
Small jobs in the home, such as changing a light bulb.
Help filling in forms.
Collecting Prescriptions
Shopping
If in doubt just ask. Please give a few days notice if you can.
How it Works.
Dial 0772 101 3583 between 10 am and 5pm weekdays, and leave a message.
TARNS will take the details of your request and seek an appropriate volunteer to help you.
TARNS will contact you later to give you the name of the volunteer and suggest an appropriate donation to cover costs, if transport is involved.
