I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Allegheny College and a Public Fellow with the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI). Previously, I taught at Washington University in Saint Louis and Miami University. My research interests fall broadly into American political behavior, political psychology, and social identity. Much of my research and teaching focuses on the origins of attitudes about race and gender and the political consequences of those attitudes. My current research examines how social pressure shapes responses to prejudice. I completed my PhD at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in May 2017.
