September 13, 2006

I was diagnosed with breast cancer June 8th 2006. I will never forget that day and the days to follow. The word cancer did not scare me like the word chemotherapy. I attended a class on all the side effects of chemo and what to expect through my treatment. I received a phone call from Jan with The Awareness Option Foundation and knew I would be interested in the table sessions because I did not want to have all the side effects of chemo. Since I have completed the table sessions I have found a new awareness about myself. I am still running every morning and my energy level has stayed very high. I’ve learned to boost my own immune system and my family’s through Jan’s workshop. I would hope anyone facing chemotherapy would be able to take advantage of such a great program. I’m going to continue working with Jan even though my sessions are over with this program. I would highly recommend this to everyone. It has changed my life and helped me through this tough time in my life.

Postscript added by Jan Cendese:

Jolee was a participant in the treatment group that went right home after the August 19, 2006 workshop and taught her husband and children how to boost hers and their own immune system through energetic touch and Reflexology. The next week when she went in for chemotherapy they refused to give her the treatment because her red blood cell (RBC) count was so low. She went home and started insisting that her husband and she do the skills learned in the workshop both in the morning and night. The next week she went in for chemo and the blood test showed such a high RBC count that the nurses and her doctor couldn’t believe the count could rise this fast in one week. But, they said that her white blood cell (WBC) count was still low. They gave her the chemo that day but worried about her WBC count. She called me on the phone about this and we discussed how she could focus her intentions on the lymph nodes to produce more white blood cells. The next week she went in for chemo again and her WBC was surprisingly high for one week and they were pleased and gave her the next chemo treatment. She has continued to have energy, no nausea, more patience and peace in her life. This was reported to me by Jolee on the phone. 9/06.
